yeah i have one.  i got it when i was 17.  i'm a broke ass 20 year college student who has to pay for my insurance, payment, gas along with other stuff... lame and typical excuse, but it's true.  i wanted a GT, test drove a few GTs, and yes they are much nicer, but more expensive.  i know my car ain't no prize compare to some of ya'lls, but i still love it.  so what do ya'll really think of a v6 mustang???

I think it's stupid. If you're getting a V6 you might as well get a car that rides a little nicer. It's a mustang. And why the hell would you get a V6, it's just like another regular car, you might as well get something a little more comfy.

First off... No more using of the word 'ya'll' please!

I think they are a perfectly good choice for someone who wants a mustang but does not want or cannot pay the extra price tag, insurance, and gas for a GT.

I have seen some VERY nice V6s and i always give credit where credit is due...

But what i and everyone else hates is when some kid gets ahold of a V6 mustang as a first car and talks it all up.... It seems like 90% of the kids with a V6 anything under the age of 17-18 think its gods fastest creation...... Thats where the bad rap comes from.

I agree.  Plus, V6 owners tend to be more tenacious on the roads then GT owners.  I have no idea if they feel they need to prove something, deep down think a V6 Stang would beat a GT, you tell me.  Just my .02.

Thats the most retarded response that could have been said....

I think redass said it best... "Our mustangs are nothing more than a Ford Taurus(sp) with a V8 in them"

In stock form they are piss slow anyways.... So why does it matter V6 or V8?

sorry about the ya'll... i have lived in the south all my life and alot of ppl would consider me a redneck.

yeah, i hate the ppl that make the v6 out to be something more than it is just because it has an exhaust, cai, a tune.  i have an 02, and yes it is slow for a "sports car" - especially stock.  sorry v6 ppl, it just is.  i know there are chevy haters out there, but i have driven an ls1 camaro so i know what "quick" is.

I think you should reconsider your reply.  They are Piss slow stock?  I really hope you are not referring to a GT.  Think about it.  You own an SN-95, New Edge.  Compared to an S197, your car is piss slow. It does matter V6 or V8.  do you want speed, or cruising power.  Sure, gas is cheaper, less expensive.  But, you don't buy a V6 for speed. It will take more money for a V6 to be faster then a GT, rather then a GT being even faster.

Piss Slow. hahahaha. Redass is funny....

before i say this, i want to be clear, it is my opinion, and my opinion only. No way do i want to offend anyone, but it did ask for my honest opinion,. I feal that a mustang should be V8. PERIOD. There is some cool looking v6's out there, and evan some real fast ones, but i don't get it. I grow up with a bunch of motor heads, and all we did was work on V8's. If you really want a mustang, and can only afford a v6, then go for it, but i would save and buy a V8. I can't look at a v6 without thinking you should have bought an 8. This is going to be a long thread.

A GT500 trumps your GT.   A GT is piss slow compared to a GT500...Hell go buy a GT500 you damn GT wussy. Damn poser buying a non GT500.

Ummmmm.......driving a 65 you should remeber that the original Stangs didn't just come with a 289. In the history of the pony cars there have always been sixxers or fours. Get off the rag you lesser motor haters. There's room for all of us Stang owners.

It's an opinion thread, don't get your panties up in a bunch when someone says something you don't agree with.

I love my V6, it has everything a new driver needs. Cool looks, the bad ass rep when you are noticed in it. It has a great shaker system for a stock setup. The automatic feels great when going 4 miles in 1 hour
Not good on gas, but not as bad as a hummer if thats safe to say ><
