Trust me.. I love my Stang as much as the next guy and i think it performs very well. But when i say 'piss slow' i am obviously not comparing it too the average sedan or import.... I mean compared to other 'performance' vehicles it somewhat lacks..

I know its a 14.0-13.8 car stock(if your lucky) but in comparison to other 'performers' that is nothing to be proud of.

I love thinking of the Mustang heritage any time i see any on the road whether its a V6 or a Terminator. You shouldnt look down on another just because you think he is not 'elite' for having 2 less cylinders.

I agree that i would never buy a stang with a 6 in it.... But that doenst give me the right to look down on any others.

maybe the way you drive?  average is 13.5 and some excellent drivers in good conditions have gotten down to 13.2 (and even onat at 13.1)

2ndly.. there isn't a single car in its price range with that much HP.. take a look at sti and 350z those were my 2 other cars i compared to before purchasing.. and GT won on, looks and cool sound and lower price.

now on topic,  v6 is for ppl who don't want to drive fast but love the way the mustang looks (usually chicks, queers, old ppl)   or ppl who can't afford a gt (like they have to save a couple years just to afford the v6)

yeah but the v6s just looks ugly. its not about baggin on someone cause they have 2 less cylinders. its cause theyre posers. well, most of em are. but thats how it is now, no one to blame but those dicks. and a mustang was produced as a "pony car". it wasnt for a family sedan to cruise around in. it was fords' sports car. v8 was the only way to go. and now there is so many v6s out there that mustang made a new name for itself. basically in a nutshell, mustang demoted itself by producing v6s. cause now its just another "beater" car. and since we have all these posers and dicks with v6s, it ruins the reps for the true v8 stang owners too.

please, please, pleeeeeasssse... I'm not trying to start any debate (I didn't start this thread as a debate, just some honest opinions).... but, for something to be demoted, i would think it already has to be in existence, not originally created.  you have to remember the first mustang was the 170 straight six.  i think ford's original idea was to make a decent, sporty car appealing to everyone, yet with very reasonable accessibility.  then the v8s came along and then carroll shelby came along and changed everything - for the better. yes, i respect the v8 much more in terms of power and performance, but you can't forget where the evolution and original idea of the mustang came from.

what do you mean the new v6 mustang is ugly? the body looks exactly the same to me...

or do you mean the engine itself is ugly? in that case... ppl who buy v6s likely don't care what their engine looks like.. they are more interested in external appearance..  i honestly dont care what my engine looks like either.. it could look like some kid put together his first erector (sp?) set.  as long as its reasonably fast :)

you gotta start off slow and build your way up. they started with the straight 6 then introduced the v8. so imo, you cant upgrade then degrade. thats just shotting yoursefl in the foot. im finished. i gave my opinion, (i DONT like v6s AT ALL), and thats all you asked for. thanks you.

Here we goo. I truly hope you are referring to a Stock GT asshat.  READ MY SIG!!! I would beat a GT500.  Ohhh, they put down 500 Crank HP, have about 450-460 to the wheels,  they weigh hundreds of lbs. more.  I'll stop right here before I say some mean things.  I never said anything bad about a V6.  Stop reading between the lines and trying to stir **** up.

Yeah, piss slow this and piss slow that, and "they always seem like they have something prove"...sure nothing bad..anyways.

We're talking about stock for stock asshat, right back atcha.

My point about a GT vs a GT500 is to show how stupid comparisons like this are. Wow, so your MODDED GT can beat a STOCK GT500 .  That goes right into you shoulda just bought the GT500 to begin with and modded it. There are V6's that would kick ass on a GT including yours so please don't go down that lame ass path.

Eitherway, who cares if it's V6 or V8 no matter what you buy there will always be something faster/better. The whole, attitude of "don't buy a mustang unless it's a V8" is lame. Buy what you want, stop bitchin' if you didn't, and if you did buy a V8 whoopty-doo, so what.

gts come with nicer wheels. and they dont have an ugly ass single exhaust tip pointing down out the back. the gt holes look way better. and the gts genuinely look lower. and since its a v6, people beat em and so they always look like ****.

yeah i have one.  i got it when i was 17.  i'm a broke ass 20 year college student who has to pay for my insurance, payment, gas along with other stuff... lame and typical excuse, but it's true.  i wanted a GT, test drove a few GTs, and yes they are much nicer, but more expensive.  i know my car ain't no prize compare to some of ya'lls, but i still love it.  so what do ya'll really think of a v6 mustang???

I love V6 Mustangs.  They look great.  I'd be proud to own one.

A V6 Mustang is perfect for a 17 year old who in 3 years morphed into a broke ass 20 year old college student who has to pay for his own insurance, gas, and other expenses.

You love your Mustang, that's all that matters.

Have fun with your Mustang.  Illegitimi non carborundum.

Yeah sigh...too bad the V6 makes up over 60-70% of the sales for the mustang. Without it gosh there would be no more mustang because there wouldn't be enough money in it to keep Ford interested in making it.  So, like the V6 or not, you're stuck with it as part of the line-up.

Personally, I don't think ANY mustang 1985+ should have an auto tranny but..those make up 70% of sales for mustangs in general. If a manual tranny was the only option, I doubt the mustang would be as popular.

very well and simply put man.  i love my 6, considering my age, income, current goals in life - finishing college so i'll have enough $$$$$$ to get just about anything i damn well please.  for now and under realistic circumstances (for me) i couldn't be happier.  it could be much worse.

V-6 is for real drivers. Go buy a Jetta if you want gas mileage and a chicks car. Buy a V-8 Mustang if you have no driving ability and need the extra horsepower to compensate and feel like you''''''''re fast.
