Hello All,

I have a 66 mustang coupe and it is fitted with a sunroof. I have been told it was fitted by Ford.

Can anyone tell me if Ford actually fitted sunroof's to 66 mustangs as standard?
Can you buy seal kits. If so where from.

That's news to me if Ford offered a sunroof as an option.

News to me, too. Maybe it was installed by the dealer but I don't ever remember it being a factory item.

No - it's not any kind of factory option (or even one advertised by the dealer). But remember: the dealers would do just about anything a customer asked back in those days (for a price). They would custom order a color and perhaps even install a sun roof. If you'll recall, the Cougars had a sun roof option. It's entirely possible that a customer brought his one or two year old Mustang back in and said "I'd like a sun roof like the Cougars have."

After I saw a documented dealer-installed vinyl top on a '67 fastback (yik!) - I'm a lot less cynical!

I am certainly not an expert but I can't think of Any pre73 mustang or ford for that matter with a sunroof in it? But I am just using my mustang monthly collection and car show history as a reference. I don't even think they offer sunroof weatherstripping for a mustang pre 79 in any of the parts books I have. I think you may need to track down some generic stripping from your local parts or auto glass shop.
