Default Nissan Maxima:I dont think so!

a guy was tellin me how fast his maxima was. really!? i went at it with one the other night on sunrise blvd. twice. once from ab out 20 mph and once from a dead stop. no contest. my car is bone stock just like in came from the factory. except fot the little paper silencer thing in the intake tube is remmoved.

illegal street racing in you V8 GT has what to do with V6 drivetrain performance????

And the "little paper silencer" is not a silencer.. it is a “Pre-Catalytic Converter”... it's there for emissions... Ford stopped putting them about mid-2005 IIRC...

LMAO, that made me laugh while i was on the phone with my g/f. Sucks i had to explain i roam these forums while i talk to her. Oh well

Well, Maximas are pretty impressive for being family car and well..Nissans... I respect them cause i dont know who may win lol and my pride would just end there...

i had one riding my BUTT last night... a quick downshift and lane change and I never saw him again [8D]

yes, it was one of the newer ones, could tell by the headlights...

Well, getting onto the freeway the other day from a red light... the maxima wanted to go so no harm no foul to get up to 70mph... We were pretty close but when I hit the freeway at around 72-74 mph I checked my six and he was about a car and a half away and pulling away. I thought it would be closer than that but I think it was just the guy driving (or maybe my tune) :P

Nice little cars.

Umm, the new Maximas are mid to high 14 second cars depending on if its an auto or manual, so I doubt he was trying that hard.
