Not really an all out race, but i took the cobra to ford today just to ask them a question and on the way back my dad had his C5 and he pulled up next to me (didn't think he actually wanted to race) and he gives me the look and we punch it...i was in 4th going about 50 and he was in 3rd and he took the jump on me but i quickly reeled him in and when he shifted to 4th he was a few cars back..not a big race but nonetheless fun. My dad has a pretty sharp white C5 with 18" new Z06 wheels.

Thats the point, the last thing I expected my dad to do was punch it on me, I was driving normally trying to conserve some gas since my tank was almost empty and as soon as he pulled up he just looks at me and punches it! If i was in 2nd he would have been in a different county by the time I hit 4th
i had the same mods as you minus the clutch and I took down a bolts on + cammed 99 C5. he would tell people that his car has catback and intake only but after the race when i waved the big BS flag, he opened up and gave me his mods listhe was making 400/390[:-]but I managed to put 2,5 - 3 cars on him everytime.
the good thing for him was we did 40mph rolls on each runs and he was in 1st gear [:-]everytime we punched he would jump like crazy. it would have been so ugly for him from a dig though.

doodad what happened to your mods? assuming you still own the cobra why return it to stock?
I believe he sold his termie. We (the forum) lost 2-3 termies in like a week or two, and im pretty sure doodad's was one of them, hence the "stock" apparel.
