I recorded my horsepower using the aeroforce gauge. Max horsepower was 538, that's flywheel of course. Aeroforce claims using MAF counts the horsepower can be accurately calculated, but we will see when I get the car dynoed in 2 weeks. What is the excepted drivetrain lose for a manual? I've heard as low as 12%.
I also tried to do a 0-60 run using the gauge. I short shifted out of 1st because it felt like the tires started to spin, but I still got a 4.36 second 0-60 time. My 1/4 mile time was 15.7@62mph!
I'm going to record the horsepower again, but this time i'll record rpms as well.

Hey Moose, 10-12% for manual is what you will lose do to drive train. Also when you use your aeroforce gauge to get your numbers you should be doing that in fourth. Very good numbers with the guage.

I thought about that, but I did it in 3rd because I didn't want to go that fast. I don't think it matters since the transmission isn't in the equation. 538 is just about right though, assuming 13% lose that would be 468rwhp. I'll do a few more runs in 4th and third and see what the difference is if any.

Just for comparison, what is the stock time? I'd have thought your qtr.mile would be less with the whipple.
I didn't run a 1/4 mile, but the gauge keeps recording up to a 1/4 mile. I let off after the shift to third which is why my time is slow and my trap speed is stupid slow. I ran a 12.5@117.6 at the track, but I suck. I'll do a full 1/4 run on the street and see if it traps close to what i got at the track.

that's a lot more accurate than my livewire for the hp readings, mine gives me outrageous numbers, that i only wish were true. even if its off by like 10-15hp, thats still pretty darn good as long as its consistent also.

I was thinking I'd get those numbers on my vert. You are not giving it enough gas.
Well I don't think your vert will trap 117, but you could easily run a 12.5. My 60 ft time was 2.0 so there is much room for improvement. My best time before the gears and blower was 13.6@106. If you have a supercharger and aren't afraid to powershift, you can easily beat my time.

The reason I was suggesting 4th is that is the gear they use for the dyno numbers, but yes you would be going extremely fast for the street if you did a full 4th gear pull, on the dyno my car red lined at 154mph in fourth.
I never knew that. Maybe they did mine in fourth I remember the tech said the wheel speed was like 140mph on the dyno.
4th is good for 140 or so at 6,000 rpms if you have 3.55 gears. My 4th runs out about 125 though. It would be cool if it printed out a graph with rpms and hp just like a dyno.

Hey Moose, I thought the aeroforce guages come with a printer
PS I've got an aeroforce on it's way, sounds like a cool gauge. To bad I have another 3 months of winter to suffer through.
It's very useful, fun to play with and so simple. Wish I had though of it. It will even read and clear dtc codes. The only think it could use is more contrast between the numbers and background color, but it's still very readable even on a bright day.
