moose, hopefully your dyno runs will be on a mustang dyno.....that way i can compare #'s....
411 rwhp @ 10psi / stock FRPP tune / 91 oct
It will be done by vmp tuning, i don't think they have a mustang dyno. It's a mobile dynojet.
Get yourself a aeroforce gauge and we can compare net horsepower.

I'll keep an eye out for it. What was your torque numbers on the mustang dyno?

i really gotta learn how to use all the fuctions on these.... and compare the HP to my dyno #s
Push in both buttons to get to the main menu. Scroll down to record with the left button then push the right. It will start recording the two parameter showing on your gauge after you pass 50% throttle.
To see the recorded data, go back to the main menu and select play. Now push the right button to toggle through.

thanks Moose... I've played around with them a few times but never tried to record any of the functions.
side note... can you get oil pressure on yours? I cant seem to find that in the list on the Main Menu...thx
You'd need to install an oil pressure sensor and connect it to one of the analog inputs.
Well I had to take a different route home today so didn't get to do a 4th gear pull or even a 3rd gear pull. I did record it in second, but I shifted at 6000rpms. It was making 505hp at 6k according to the gauge. It was making over 400hp as soon as it started recording. Second gear in my car goes by really fast. I will do some better testing tomorrow and try another 0-60 and possibly a 1/4 mile run.

I got it reading HP an in a very unscientific test... I'm not sure about its too accuracy yet. I pulled to 3000 and 4000 rpm @ 3000 it read like 125 and @ 4000 it read like 245. I have to get someone with me to record the different levels and compare it to my dyno sheet. Maybe on the first I can get it done and report back. the thing that gets me wondering is that when cruising is seems to read very low numbers.... like 25-30 at 1800-2000 rpm in 5th.
Anyone know how the guage calculates the HP#? The Aeroforce site doesnt explain how its reached.
I did use the performance function. That seems accurate - I did a 1/4 this am and it read: 0-60 3.94 1/4 12.29 @ 110 (close to what I ran @ the track)

Use the record function and take it to redline in whatever gear you feel comfortable in. I recommend 3rd if you have stock gearing. Then go back to the menu and select play, you'll have to scroll through a bunch of readings to find the peak one. Mine reads very low hp when cruising. Read the horspower adjustment part of the owners manual.
It says it uses mass air flow values to calculate hp and fuel mileage, but I have no idea what the actual calculation is.

Just for comparison, what is the stock time? I'd have thought your qtr.mile would be less with the whipple.
I didn't run a 1/4 mile, but the gauge keeps recording up to a 1/4 mile. I let off after the shift to third which is why my time is slow and my trap speed is stupid slow. I ran a 12.5@117.6 at the track, but I suck. I'll do a full 1/4 run on the street and see if it traps close to what i got at the track.
i've got a friend of mine, whipple charged 465.2 rwhp @ 10PSI ... who's done 11.778 1/4 mile ... you should be close to that too

Does your friend have the stock clutch? I think mine is slipping in 1st, second gear.
I did another 3rd gear pull today and got 547hp. I took it all the way up to 6340rpms. At 6340rpms it was only making 370hp. I guess that's the rev limiter pulling timing and closing the throttle.

I know of two guys who ran 11.4x and 11.6x with Paxton/Vortech HO kits on stock the clutch. I saw the runs myself... the 11.4x guy was making 500+ on race tune.... let say that he's since replaced his clutch...
