Default Mac products

One of the local mustang shops tells me that mac exhaust products don't work well if mixed and matched with non-mac products....for example, I would have trouble with exhaust leaks say if I used bbk shorties with the mac off-road modular x pipe I already have. Does anyone have any experience with this, or is he just blowing smoke?

It's an 07gt

thanks in advance

Default RE: Mac products

It's not just MAC. Most companies make their mid-pipes to fit with their brand of headers. Can you blame them?

Default RE: Mac products

I did hear about MAC being poor quality...
I never installed them or work on them so I don't have a take on that.

I was looking into the long tubes for my upcoming Vortech...
I will have to investigate and see a Stang with that set-up.
