any reason i shouldn get solid motor+tran mounts a - 12/27/2007 1:02:27 PM    zstangboi   Posts: 35 Joined: 9/30/2007 Status: offline like it says, my 95 gt is in need of some, solid ones are cheapest, might go with some others though, on a stock motor, will it hurt anything to use solid mounts? Unless your engine balance is spot on, i would not go with the solid. My car has 0 vibration with the solid mounts, the only thing you feel is the rumble of the 600+ lift cam. RE: any reason i shouldn get solid motor+tran mounts a - 12/27/2007 1:30:57 PM    91blackmustanggt   Posts: 71 Joined: 6/8/2006 Status: offline I tried a solid tranny mount when I noticed my rubber mount was shot but I switched it back to the rubber mount soon after. It made the whole car vibrate, and there was always a buzzing sound. I took my car to the best body shop in my area because I am going to have my car painted by them and the body man said he has never seen a nicer fibreglass hood. They are just "advertising ploys" to get you to buy their products. Any torque will be controlled by the engine mounts.
