like it says, my 95 gt is in need of some, solid ones are cheapest, might go with some others though, on a stock motor, will it hurt anything to use solid mounts?

In my opinion if its not strictly a strip car solid motormounts are not even an option.  The vibrations would be horrendous.

from what I always heard solid mounts are for track cars most of the time.  will it hurt anything, prolly not, but will you hate the ride, probably.  get some poly ones

quite possible, there's a lot of stress and nothing gives.

I personally went with heavy duty stock mounts, no vibration and a lil stiffer than oem.  I think they're actually considered convertible motor mounts.

i went and bout the energy mounts because my worn out stock mounts had caused the tail shaft housing to crack from one side around to the other... there was alot of burnt up tranny fluid that day

I run solid motor mounts with poly trans mounts. Unless your engine balance is spot on, i would not go with the solid. My car has 0 vibration with the solid mounts, the only thing you feel is the rumble of the 600+ lift cam. If you do decide to go with solids, do not get solids for the tranny.

I tried a solid tranny mount when I noticed my rubber mount was shot but I switched it back to the rubber mount soon after. It made the whole car vibrate, and there was always a buzzing sound. It was annoying with the shifter vibrating in your hand too. I would never install this on a street car again.

Its a 2.5" cervinis hood part # 105. I took my car to the best body shop in my area because I am going to have my car painted by them and the body man said he has never seen a nicer fibreglass hood. Very little prep work needed before it can be painted. Its nice too with the finished underside.

SOLID MOUNTS= THROW YOUR CAR AWAY. This is one of stupid race parts that people put on their street cars. I have been in some cars with these in them, they are for the track ONLY.

Solid transmission mounts will amplify ANY imperfect driveshafts and 90% have them, imperfect balanced shafts.

They are just "advertising ploys" to get you to buy their products.

Any torque will be controlled by the engine mounts. All transmission mounts do is hold the rear of the eng/trans assembly from falling down.
