hard getting RPM during idle

was messing around earlier with my 93 stang, i noticed since this is the first time i tried this, that when i rev while in park, it has trouble going thru 2-3 rpm at a hard stomp on gas..but if i slowly go on gas it goes fine thru 1 - 2- 3 then hard at 4.....when i put it in neutral its kinda hard to push thru 3rpm..what causes this?? bad timing? bad cylinder? any suggestions? maybe bad fuel injector?

also when im driving i have very slow acceleration takes me about 40 yards to get upspeed... like it has no power at all going into the engine...i can run faster..what may be problems to this?

Check the timing. The four bangers do only have 89 or 90 hp (I think. quote me if wrong)stock so don't expect too much. These cars take time.

thanks...i also notice its starting to blow white smoke out the exhuast...i bought this car roughly a year ago for $800... and havent done much but the basic tune up with new spark plugs, wire, and coils...i really think the timing is off but im not sure...then again i see three different diagrams of the order for plug wires on the coils...think you could show me a pic of the sparkplug wires and coils...wanting to make sure i have them in order first..the book i bought dont seem helpful at all

90-93 4bangers have 105 HP. 89 and before had 88 hp

if its cold out then its normal, its hot air mixing with water sitting in your muffler or cats causing steam to come out the pipes, if u remove the muffler you will have less steam.
