I drove my buddies srt-4 yesterday and I have to say it was a blast. I have never driven a turbo car before much less a fast fwd. Boost without a doubt is funner than the juice, he told me to do a 40 roll run it out. I brake boosted it up to 20# and stabbed off into it  Shifted into 3rd and made an attemt to hit 4th when I ripped his shifter knob off, lol. He didn't care because it happen before and he was going to buy a new one anyway. But I have to say this car is very fun to drive, I had no idea how bad torque steer really was. He said I could drive it again when he has race gas for it (over 400whp). He is a vid of the car when we raced a couple of weeks ago. His car has a built motor, the only thing holding him back is injectors. He has some 1200cc but need a piggy back system for his pcm to use them. He will make over 500whp easy once he buys this.

Sounds like fun. You get used to the torque steer. Ya just hold on like crazy with street tires. With slicks I don't even notice it.

those were some good runs. it shows FWD really sucks at high HP. I 400ish fwhp is good to have some fun in a fwd and light car but once you make 500-700fwhp with a light car, even with slicks, you will have a very hard time to hook even from a roll. needs tons of suspension work to get those thing hook.

I hear ya. I called Darrell Cox racing today and after talking to them I deceided to not do the 50 pound wheel. It was alot more involve than I thought. $700 for the turbo work. $500 for the D-tec to control the fuel. $450 for the return line. $400 for the new injectors. And who knows how much for the tuning. And probably a grand to install all that crap. I deceided to just buy a meth kit so I can run the stage 3 race tun all the time.

Reading this make me want ot drive my car! I can't wait to have my Teggy back. God I hope it's done by mid June. I've decided that I'm going to wait untill later to get a new turbo mani and intake right now. It would take me at least another month, maybe 2 to save up for them, and I want to drive it ASAP. I originaly wanted 425 to the wheels, but I can save that for later. Without that stuff I should be around 360-380. I figure I'll do the TM, IM, and Cams all at once and save a little bit of cash on tuning. By the time I have the money to do that, I should be bored of 3xx horsepower anyway! LOL.
