So i was out killing some time the other day and stopped in at my local Ford dealer because he had a alot of very nice stangs in the show room. (3 Shelby GT's, 1 GT500, and multiple Roush's) But when I looked at the stickers my jaw hit the floor...$51,000 for a ****ing Shelby GT! $67,000 for a GT500! I dont know about you guys, but I get so pissed when I see how much dealers are marking these cars up. I mean a $25,000 markup on a GT500...thats insane (not to mention enough to buy a brand new GT). These dealers are just raping people because of the Mustangs new found popularity. Its hard to even find a decent used GT thats not way overpriced. Its annoying how the dealers are destroying Fords original plan of making powerful, moderatley priced performance cars for the "average" joe. I think there should be some rules/regulations when it comes to marking vehicles up...its going beyond the point of supply and demand and turning into robbery....

As long as people keep paying it, they will keep selling it.  Don't blame the dealers.  I personally don't like the GT500, the shelby looks better.  I'd take the 5.4L, but they can keep the factory blower.

They are hopeing someone walks in falls in love and strokes a check.
My father in law left his 06 c6 vette in my garage for a year and I drove it twice. I felt like I aged 30 years every time I pushed the ignition. The cool thing was when I drove it I DROVE it hard unlike the Geritol crew that normaly rolls the Vette at 2 mph under the speed limit.

Speak for yourself!  I will have all my hair until I die.  There's viagra for the rest.  I've been meaning to try the stuff.  My pepe isn't as peppy as it used to be.

Just wait till you see what the mark-up on the new Camaros and Challengers will be!!
The dealers will price our new-found muscle cars right out of existence...

wtf are dealers thinking back in early 06 selling a used gt vert for 5k over sticker of a new. Trying to get 10k over to order one. Just waited, took my time, and got my new redfire in 06. $600 over invoice. Not too much or too little. Ford dealers need to get the money and be happy anyone even wants their products.

Yeah go in and buy the most base model GT you can find, buy your own leather seats, etc....

Then Procharge it and stomp all over a GT500 for like 30k less.

At the dealership I work at, we have 3 Shelby GT500's and they are all listed at $51,000.

I almost traded my GT about two months ago for an alloy GT500 and redfire GT500 that I could've gotten for $48,000. I decided it's not worth the money and will stick with my GT.
