These are profoundly different cars but both are good cars. Given that you mention supercharging, if HP is your main concern, the Saleen is the choice. To get a supercharged Shelby, you will be in it about $50k, assuming you get a new Shelby. If you put the supercharger on a used Shelby, it will cost you around $7k, installed (Paxton) and about $1k more for a Whipple. Good luck with your decision. Jim

I would get the Shelby as the Saleen is an 04. The s197 design is vastly superior in power ability and structural rigidity. Many pre s197 owners are selling to get into the new models.
