Just checked the mailbox and the latest MM&FF's is in there. Front cover story = Bullitt mustang smokes Dodge Charger R/T. Big news huh?

The lightly modded Bullitt mustang ran a 13.2 best. Best the 340hp Charger could muster was a 14 flat.

Mustang weighed 3650, Charger 4250. Hope that new Challenger is on a diet lol!

Yeah.. not surprising really. The R/T's and all of the related (Daytona's, etc) are nothing. Stock I was killing them left and right. SRT-8's are another matter entirely..

Yeah the new Challenger has the SRT-8 powertrain. Wondering how fast that sucker will be. Doubt it will run in the 12's stock...

Unless it's AWD like the jeep.

One Bad Stang

+1 on killing R/T's in stock form. i killed 2 Daytona's and 1 R/T when mine was stock. and i've never went heads up with an srt-8 but i was killin em by an average of 4 tenths at irwindale's 1/8 mile track. and i couldn't hook up. my best that night was a crappy 9.121 @78.92mph with a 2.151 60'. the srt's were out there turning 9.5's and at best 9.31. there were a couple bad @$$ srt-8 jeeps killin everyone though.

but that article doesn't surprise me... stangs rule the world!!
