Default 2001 Mustang Cobra

Im soon to be purchasing a 2001 Mustang Cobra. I had a few questions.

I was informed the 0-60 is 4.8 seconds, and the 1/4 is 13.5, are these numbers correct?

On Summit i am looking for parts to improve the horsepower.. There is no option for Cobra, just GT.
So is the 4v basically the same as the 2v, and will take the same bolt on mods? Is the exhaust the same as well?

How is the Quality on these cars, honestly? Im coming out of a 2004 GTO ls1. Its a mess, alot of things go wrong and im sick of it. How much abuse can this car and motor take?

I appreciate any replys- Ramin.

The chance of you driving the car to a 13.5 is probably going to be slim unless you're an excellent driver. I'd expect high 13s out of it. 4.8 0-60 also seems a bit generous. Summit is probably going to be the wrong place to buy parts for the 4v Cobra, I don't think any parts are the same between the 4.6 GTs and Cobras. I know for a fact at least the catback is different because the Cobra has IRS. If it's taken care of it should run great for a long time, the 4.6 motors are supposed to be excellent. At least you're not getting a 99.

im sure if you take care of it and make sure its all good when you buy it, it'll be fine. but no, practically nothing is the same between 4v and 2v.

15k 50 t. miles.

Im not a mustang guy. But i drove a 02 GT and was less than imperssed with the power. Im used to an 04 GTO and that thing moves. I hope the cobra's extra horses are good ones. Thanks for the replys guys. Where would be a good place for parts?

Just so you're not suprised chances are your '04 GTO will be faster than the '01 Cobra, I'd be surprised if it wasnt.
