My first race was a '00 or so V6 Mustang automatic... he didn't even stand a chance.  I've also had stuff like F-150s and Focus ZX3s trying to race me

I used to have people wanna race me in my Escort...it ran an 8.4 so it wouldn't take a whole lot. But I rarely lost, when I did it was to a nice sized V6 equipped car.

No one's wanted to race me just yet in the Civic. I really don't want to anyway until I can miraculously get immunity to speeding tickets from the local police....  I might as well just wait for hell to freeze over...that'll happen sooner.

yeah  i have alot of lamos try to race me to. I think its funny. They probably raced a v6 mustang and thought all mustangs where created equal. like the other day this old man in a linchon ls pulls beside me with his family and floors it. (i didnt know what to think.) he slows down and trys again. so i down shift to third at about 70 and blow his doors off. after i slow down he drives by and waves. it was a v8. just today this chick in this civic with all the ricer mods (big wing 10hp, after market body panels not painted same as car (at least 50hp) and a huge tip 40 hp.) trys to pull beside me. i let her think she was fast for a few yards because it was so pathaticly slow. just paseing her. after a while i get bored down shift and put over ten cars between us in a matter of seconds. I think its fun though. she got pissed.  oh well.

you should have let her keep up for a little while.  roll down ur window and be like "u wanna catch a burger?" then when she says no and tries to pull on ya, then u regain ur manliness. and if she says yes, then ur a winner more than one way cus u got a date, plus ur modest for not puttin tread marks down her pretty face.

i know i am going to be a typical mustang owner.  but after getting my a** handed to me in front of my girl friend by a turbo porsche i am buying a super charger. do any of you guys run them. I am having a hard time chosing between keene bell and a pro charger. either way i go i want to run around 11pounds of boost. with either a after cooler or intercooler. it will be mostly a drag car but also want some top end for smashing on those quick cars with factory forced induction. so any one run both and prefere one more than the other. i know this has been asked before but want first hand experiences. (man that porsche was fast though. he told me he was low 12's but thats a freakin high way car. just walked on me bad.)

Are all of you running stock exhaust? When I just have the no cat running to the flowmaster it's loud enough to scare people into not racing, when I open the exhaust C/O usually ppl just cover their ears. I rarely ever find any imports that'll run with me, although, had a turbo all wheel drive Eagle Talon hand me my ass in the 1/8th the other night.

What's the point of running true duals?  Just run a large pipe to split to two pieces...

Well right now I'm running out of the manifolds into the Y pipe back into one pipe, which, as I've heard, signinficatly cuts down the flow. I'm not a big gear head or anything but I have a lot of friends that are and they say that it'll really let the car breathe better to run true duals. They may be full of if though..... My gf's dad said that on this Mustang they used to have, he put an H pipe and some headers on it and it really made a difference, so I'm gonna try doing somnething.
