anyone using 255/50/17 tires on 17x 9 inch rim if not does anyone know if they will fit 2007 mustang gt .wheels are 17x9 38mm offset thanks

they will fit on the rim haha im doing the same thing, im only putting them in the rear tho and on a 87 gt so i cant help u with the fitting issues

All the math says they should fit. The only issue that I can see might bea need or desire for the steering stops called for on the 18" FRPP wheels on account of the backspacing being a little more than on the 17" wheels (but less than the backspacing on the 18's).

The tires are the same 27" OD as all of the stock S197 tires, and the GT500 already runs a 255 width tire up front and a 285 in the rear.

Your 9" wide 38 mm offset wheels should have about 6.6" of backspacing and about 3.6" from the wheel mounting surface to the extreme point on the front side. The 9.5" wide GT500 wheels have 7.125" backspace and about 3.58" front side. The normal 18 x 8.5" GT wheels have 6.82" backspace and 2.88" front. 17" wheels are about 6.3" back and just over 2.7" front.
