do i use a portercable or do it by hand? i have a porter cable. i have slight swirls. is the z-5 unneccisary for slight swirls? what pad should i use? what should i do after clay, wash, polish? also if i apply more coats of polish, will that give me more of a glossy look? i cant wait to use these products along with my no rinse this week. cant wait to see the results.
If you want to apply multiple coats of Z5 in a day you need ZFX from what I've read. As far as pad choice, no idea. Check out their website for product info. They may be able to point you in the right direction. Or try doing a search on autopia.org, you'd probably find some info there. One site that is visited alot by several zaino users is down right now. Sorry I couldnt help you more man. I'm just not familiar with Zaino products except for the leather conditioner and tire protectant.
z5 and z2 are only sealants, they wont help your swirls at all. I have used them both, just get the z2 and skip the z5. If I were you here is what I would do:
1. Wash and dry car 2. Clay entire car 3. porter cable with some swirl cutter and use an orange pad 4. 3 coats of zaino z2 5. for extra depth a final coat of a carnuba wax
this is going to take you all day, but its so worth it
it says the z5 can take out light swirls and thats all i have? also they have Z-PC Fusion Dual Action Paint Cleaner Swirl Remover but i dotn want to use somthing to abrasive for light swirls.
I think you should use the ZPC with the PC to remove those swirls. Z-5 has "enhanced swirl hiding capabilities" - this means they'll still be there, just hidin, until you wash the car a couple times. From Zaino's site- It is best to avoid the use of abrasive products as much as possible. However, with deeper swirls and fine scratches, sometimes they are necessary. If you don't see a visible difference after 1 to 3 coats of Z-5 PRO, you need to use Z-PC paint cleaner swirl remover

from personal experience the z5 wont do **** for the swirls. Get yourself a porter cable and some swirl remover and buff the car out. Its well worth the effort and it wont hurt your car in any way.
