I was just wondering if everybody has the same problem i have. Man, its terrible outside; the roads are covered with snow and ice and I keep sliding and stucking everywhere...I even put 2 sandbags in the trunk, 70lb each, not a big help. Can't wait till Summer comes again!
Learn to drive. Get snow tires. It's not like you have some lightweight torque monster. Yeah, you'll slip around a bit, but if you know how to drive, you shouldn't have too many problems in the snow. Ice is a different story, but snow is manageable.

go to your local firestone and buy 2 winterforce tires (blizzak knock-offs) and slap a limited slip in the rear, i used to be able to get snow to come flying up over the front air damn on my camaro with that set up (meaning 6" or so of snow!)
I used to swap over snow tires onto my wife's '00. The High-performance tires just dont cut it in the winter. Especially with the lead coated shoes she wears. hehe.
With snow tires and one 70lb bag of sand and the traction control, it did pretty well in the snow in Colorado.
I sold the snow tires in the last garage sale we had in Colorado before we moved to Vegas. Haven't had to worry about snow driving here yet. ;-)

I've only run into trouble once this year (as in a day where I couldn't drive) but that was because it was snowing really hard, and I was only off the road for a night. I don't mind the snow so much as the ungodly amount of salt they use on the roads here in MA. My car might as well have been white, not black after the snow storms we've had.
I've got some Michelin snow tires, not sure exactly what they are, and a 60lb bag in my trunk and I do alright. I'm gonna grab another 60 lber and toss it in there for good measure, if I get more snow, that is...

I picked up 4 used Michelin X-Ice's for $250 on Craigslist and tossed 160 pounds of leftover, bagged top soil in the trunk. Snow isn't really a problem so far, it's the ice that kills you. I've just slid down hills around the neighborhood. Deffinitely stay off the gas around turns unless you like to wag your tail a little bit. Who doesn't?
Slowing down defiantly helps. I have 250 lbs in the back because I couldn't get out of my driveway with 100! With that weight it almost feels like I have a FWD, and I only have General All Season tires. I wanted snows, but when I got the new tires and it was gonna be another 300-400 I opted for the better tire and skipped the snows.
do u people not know how to drive or something.... puttin bags in your trunk? i just have some Winterforces on the back and Toyo Eclipses on the front... the streets where i live are pure ice right now and i have no problem with spinning tires or gettin stuck... i dont even have traction control in my car... i also had a 60-80 pound sub box in the trunk but i took it out cause i was not liking that i couldnt swing my a$$ out like i knew i could hahaha
Well, I've got to experience driving with and without the bags, and while I can do both, it's a much easier time to drive with the bags. Only a fool would want LESS traction in the winter. I'll admit I enjoy kicking the rear of my car out, but I also like to get where I'm going.
