Default fuel pressure?

i have a boost gauge and electric fuel pressure gauges, anyway my pressure is always at 40. but today i noticed it dropped down to like 27-30 what is this?

After you have driven it for a short time, put it in neuteral and give it a couple revs staring at the fuel pressure guage. When you rev it, the needle should go up a bit. If the needle doesn't move, it's most likely your fuel pump is bad.

needles move fine.....after a few runs to work it is back to 40psi. this has happened 2 this past 2 weeks
