<SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 8.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana">Here's the situation: I bought my mustang in 99 (it is a 99) and still have it. At about 30K miles, the paint on the roof started to crack, bubble up, and eventually split and peel off. I'm talking about several large, half dollar size "holes" in the paint. The dealership repainted the roof under warranty. Now at 95K miles, the rest of the car has started to spilt and flake off. The hood, trunk, and doors now have hundreds of little slits all over it getting ready to bubble up and flake off. I have taken it to the dealership and since it is out of warranty it is going to cost me 3 grand to get a full paint job. I then contacted ford motor company and informed them of the situation. They basically said the same thing; since it is out of warranty, there is nothing we can do. Am I basically shafted here or what? This is clearly a factory defect with no fault of my own. Anyone have a similar problem or have an idea what I should do?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com
