Hey fellas,

if i modify my car and then want to trade it in (i know it sounds ridiculous rite- trading it in after modifying the car) can you still trade it in? im talking about mods like exhaust, rims, tint, and cold air intakes. yea im thinking about the 2009 mustangs that will hopefully come out in 08', i might want to trade in my 07 for one and before modifying it i want to know. does anyone know about the 09' stangs? thanks

yes, you can trade it in. It's extremely rare to get a better trade-in value from mods - regardless of how much you might like them or how much they cost. In some cases, the modifications might actually result in getting a lower trade-in value for the car. An example might be something that voids part of the warranty, or thats irreversible without damage (such as custom airbrush paintings on your hood, etc.)

They will gladly take in your modded car and give you none extra for it, and sell it at a large premium.
