In any event, I can't quite fathom this person trading in their car for the ones they listed. I guess I don't understand the whole "trade-down" mentality. But if I had to go "luxury" vs. what I have now, I'd grab a well-maintained, low-mileage Mercedes 190e 2.6. Had one in the past and it was a workhorse; after some 150k miles only problem ever was a water pump went out. Plenty of body kits and gold BBS wire rims out there to get that rock-slinger look, if desired.

I wasn't gonna post on this but... I chose the ls. That said if you go through with this you will regret it. Your mustang is everything you could ever need but you can't see it. So i'll try to help you.

I have also gotten a little bored of the stang... if your mustang is borring how in the hell will a luxury car be exciting? and slightly annoyed at the sports car ride(bumpy and you feel everything the car does-I know this is my own fault)... your young it shouldn't bother you too much and if you put in time and money to make it this way then you can put time and money into it to fix it So I have decided that a luxury car will take care of the bumpy ride, and allow me to ride in style with safety and comfort. Style- your kidding right? Saftey-http://www.lotpro.com/cars/2006/ford/mustang/safety/ 5 star everything from NHTSA don't get no better Comfort- cloth seats bothering you? takeoff leather or get Katzkins (what i want) i don't know what else could make you uncomfortable I see many benefits with these luxury cars over the stang... i dont... what are they? Not allways having to wonder, when is the next ricer gonna pull up and rev at me... laugh at 'em, if you race him he'll still be an idiot and even if you beat him he'll still tell his dumbass friends about how his new candy spray paint job gave him enough horsepower to kill a new mustang when's the next cop gonna eye the young kid in the stang... cops are gonna eye kids no matter what they drive or who wants to make fun of the modded V6 stang Who cares? It's your car do what you want! READ VERY CAREFULLY: no matter what car you drive someone somewhere will hate it! Some kids on here aren't happy to drive a 20k car because it's not good enough!! I'm 20 and i have friends that have never even had a car of there own!!!! They would be ESTATIC to have a car that would go from point A to point B and they sure as hell wouldn't get rid of it just because it wasn't fast enough, or comfortable enough.
Go ahead and get the ls imo it's the best one but it won't make you happy. You can't just buy true, lasting happyness. Your the only person who can decide weither your happy or not.
I'm sorry you have to be smoking some crack to trade any stang but with 5k you could do a full Saleen body kit installed, leather interior and a zex 125 shot to back up your looks. At that point you have to be crazy if you think an LS or a Benz (the only options worth considering there), are any good.
look into the light bro, stay on the right side, this isn't funny. Don't be an ass.
this minus the rims it's ew

well, all i can say is that i have never read or responded to this guys threads, i have just read what you guys think of him, so thats all i have to go on... but i will say this...
1. none of those cars are luxuary cars.. they are all used cars. 2. if the guy was a spoiled rich kid as many of you say, he would have a new luxuary car, not cutting corners for a used car.
if i wanted a luxuary car..i get a new, not wore out, beemer, or mercedes...just my two cents
I have to agree with above, I don't think he is necessarily a rich kid but I do have a problem with all of these "last threads". I almost feel like he wants us to feel remorse or apologize for all of the criticism he has received in past threads (as if we are the reason he is giving up the stang). It was not 4 weeks ago you were trying to find a way to put 400 horsepower under the hood and now are are "bored" with your car. Steel, I don't know what you are hoping to get out of these threads but I do wish you luck in getting your priorities in line. There are many worse problems in the world than worrying about which car you should purchase, but don't really need. Just pick up a newspaper (not automotive!!) and take a look around the world. It may put things in perspective for you.
But to answer the question take a look at Jeeps, I love my wrangler (ricers usually won't try to race you. lol)
I concur on the posts about the 3 and 2 series BMW and M's. They are so common. If I were you, I would consider a used Mach1. Nice looking car, its a nice ride in stock form and you will gain significant power over your current car. Its also somewhat rare and unique. The S197 is a very comfortable ride unless you mod the crap out of the suspension. The stock LCA's are rubber for a reason.
Soooo.....
If your S197 has to go, I would look at a Mach1, or perhaps a new edge GT. I'm not a fan of them, but have you considered a GTO. They are very comfortable cars, though I'm not a fan of the look.
Have you considered a used Audi S4?
I dig Legion5's post, words of wisdom there.

Referring back to the Lexus comment, they are what a Luxury car should be so the add states. I have no doubt that they run forever because they are built on the same line and in the same plant as Toyota. If you are looking for a high end Jap car and no offence to any Asian folks out there I would go for the Infiniti. The Infiniti is made by Nissan but it is the only car they produce exclusively in Japan and in its on factory. I’ve owned a 97 ½ Q45 and that was a great car. It had the V8 power, the handling was superb, and the ride was that of my Dads Oldsmobile 98 (not 1998, 98 was a model). Yet I still stay firm on keeping the Mustang, by far one of the best cars I have ever owned.

As you can tell I was thinking of buying a mid to high mileage luxury car, but since reading your posts, it is better to either keep the stang or finance a new to very slightly used car(25k miles or less). Off the list, I would have chose the caddy deville, but b/c they have a lot of mechanical/electrical problems, next I would choose a low milage town car like someone has suggested (cheaper on the wallet and very similar to the Deville). But my dad being a big Dodge guy(daimler-chrysler), said that he would finance under his own name for me a new 6 cylinder chrysler 300 so I would have cheaper monthly payments due to me not having a credit rating yet. I am really taking this into question. I will fix the poll and want your guys opinion on this: Low milage Lincoln Town Car or New Chrsyler 300 w/now lifetime warranty? Any test drives, experiences with either of the vehicles or cars by the producer will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for the help , I accept the negative comments b/c I know my vast amount of threads and questions have annoyed people so I am sorry for that. I am sorry for the repetitive threads too. Thank all you all guys for the help and it has been a pleasure talking with you over the internet! I will post again to tell you which one I will pick after a couple days of repsonses and some research of my own.

Well my vote is for the 300 over the Towncar. I personally hate the Towncar and would rather drive a Minivan over a Towncar. I also drove a 07 300 and Charger as I stated previously. It had the HIMI in it which I might add was not impressive at all, of course my dad had a 57 Chevy with a 392 HIMI in it and that was impressive. I think that the exterior of the 300 is HOT and they did a good job over the previous model. Yet the exterior is where the design team left home for the day and the bean counters decided to put it in production. I think the interior is half a$$. It is poorly put together and cheep looking as if the original design was from a LEGO model. Again that is another reason why I bought the Mustang, the quality of both the interior and exterior go for beyond what someone could ask for at such a low price.
Now go back and read post #11 on the first page. Now that you have done that, and you are still thinking about getting rid of the Mustang I would go with the Lincoln MXZ or the Zephyr (Almost the same car they just changed the name). The MKX will run circles around the 300 as far as performance goes. The interior is phenomenal, especially if you get the heat and cool leather seats and the THX navigation system. Finally the exterior is just as sporty and classy and the Lincoln LS. I personally was sold on this car until I drove the Mustang and decided that my personal needs did not require a 4 door car. I already have an Explorer so I wanted something a little less family. At the time I was shopping for a new car last June the 07 MKZ fully loaded was less than the 300 I drove which was also fully loaded.
Again if you must sale out, I would go with the MKZ. Add that to your poll and see what people think if you really want to know the truth.

My dad has a 300 touring and it is a sweet ride. It is pretty quick (feels about as quick as our 4.0 mustang), looks great, and has very comfortable seats. I personally think the interior is nice for the price. It handles very well too, it doesn't feel like some of my dads older cars that were really comfortable, but slopy on the handling. I would definitely get the 300..

Just wanted to comment on this. I am not getting the car for speed. I am getting a car for luxury, styling, and comfort. The 300 is a luxury car not a track car(unless counting the 2 hemi versions). Like I and others have said, I am not a rich kid so a phantom is way out of my choices and if I had that much money, I would rather buy a house than a car that costs that much. Epimetheus, thanks for the help, but even a used MKZ or MKX is out of my price range. I can probably sell my car for $10k-$14k and I will have $5k in cash on hand by the spring. My dad doesn't want me to do so much financing that I will not be able to pay it off quickly and not have money for insurance. Insurance will probably be in the $3k-$4k range for these cars and I will take the longest out a 5 year loan. And I don't make much working a grocery store job at a little above minimum wage for 5 days a week. Thanks for the help guys, keep it coming!
I see what you are saying now. I thought you were looking at a new 300, and at the time I was looking at them the MKZ was less than the 300 I was looking at. Now if you are looking at used 300s you are correct, you can get a 300 far less than a used MKZ or Zephr. The MKZ is holding its value only dropping 1K from 08 to 07.

Yeah, I wasn't very explicit in my last post. The new 6 cylinder 300's go for 20k-25k, used lincoln town car w/low miles i can get for 20k-25k miles, NEW MKZ goes for $30.5k+ which is out of my price range, and like you said, since there holding there value so damn good I can't even look into a used one. That's why I didn't add it to the list, I would have if it was in range. I think you though I was looking at the hemi 300's which go for $30k+ which are in the same range as the MKZ. Hope this clears it up for you.
my boss got a 300c with 24s and the srt8 suspension on it i mean it looks crazy..one of a kind it even a great ride with thoese rims on lol. but the 6 is just plain horrible when u drive that and then jump into his its like night n day, they did a horrible job with the base(v6) 300's and chargers, ride just sucks, power sucks, interior sucks
I've test driven a v6 charger. It's basically the exact same except the grill as a 300c. My wife thought it felt loose going around corners compared to the mustang but I thought it handled well they are nice but every one I know with the 300c complains that they breakdown alot but I don't know what the problems were
