I'm not getting cranky, and if you're going to continue to insult cars with inane comments such as "its a factory ricer with the body kit and wheels" then I will call you ignorant. Because it is pretty ignorant.

I don't care if you don't like the car, but respect is given when it's shown.

I will take that as a joke but in all honesty I have lost 3/4 of my short term memory since Iraq and the doctors say it is stress related and refuse to look into it any further. Im kinda pissed about it.

Except the cobra is an eight cylinder car with a blower. The SRT is a FOUR cylinder with a turbo. Thats pretty sad on the part of the cobra, and pretty impressive on the part of the SRT.

why does the cylinder matter? theres lots of 6cyl things out today with much more power than a factory 5.0? likely 4 cyls too, why not get a civic and drop a v8 if they are that big of a difference, 4cyl can be fast, as can 8s, hell 2cyls smoke my car many times. theres are many differences in the engines, it all comes down to preferance tyhose 4cyls can rev like mofos, my v8 cant, my v8 has torque a 4cyl doesnt. theres differences.. you can compare 4 and 6 cyls to v8s, but you cant compare either if one has a turbo.. ANYWAYS, i leave this to rest im too tired to go on about nothing.

LMAO, maybe we dont care if we get respect from a turboed bumble bee, the guy just called it what it is, just like you always say, he is just expressing HIS opinion, but this time you jumped on him and called him ignorant. id have to agree w/ you on the opinions though, we all have one dont we. mine just happens to be the same as dc-mann8's on this topic.

You seem to care a whole lot when I joke about Mustangs and the reliability. No really, you do care. You just want to make another inane point.

Anyway, it's his opinion. That doesn't make it a smart one, or one that was put together intelligently.

That opinion was bred by hate, hatred is bred from ignorance. Get my drift here?

srt-4's are nice cars, I definately prefer the look, sound, and feel of my GT though. It's all about preference, don't dog on a car because you think it's ugly. Fact of the matter is, they are probably the best bang for the buck car out right now, they deserve some props.

No attack here. I don't care if you think it's ugly. You didn't start making useless remarks like "it's slow" or "it's a ricer car with a ricer wing"

At least you have a little bit of tact.

For me it has a lot to do with the driver, its not completely about the car. Some people have really nice cars but are a$$ holes, so they and their cars dont get the respect they deserve. Also you can come across a car you dont really like, but the driver is cool so you give him and his car more respect. I like all cars, including srt-4s. I think they are fast and cool. Just because i drive a mustang doesnt mean all other cars suck. Ill get smoked by an srt-4 all day, for now...

The SRT-4 is fast stock 13.9 is the best I've seen them run in stock condition. However it isn't the 2nd fastest prodution vehicle in chryslers lineup, just to mention a few faster: SRT-8 300C, SRT-10 Ram, SRT-6 Crossfire and the Viper also the 300C hemi runs the same 13.9 in the 1/4 mile in stock trim. I've beat a couple SRT-4's in both my GT & my Ram but its mostly the driver....

Its always more fun to whoop on a car with a truck you guys really need to see the expression some people make...

BTW this is my first post ever!!!

It WAS the 2nd fastest when it first came out, before the 300s were out or the crosfire.

Right now, the 2nd fastest mopar would be either the SRT-8 or SRT-6.

thanks guys!

anyways yes it IS ugly, and IS a factory ricer, but i did not call it slow but if u took that trubo off itd be slow now wouldnt it.

as for the guy saying its the best bang for a the buck out there... are u on crack? IMO a 5.0 mustang is the besat bang for the buck as they go for 2-4 thousand and run 14s stock.. put a few thous and u can hit an 11.. soo.. let say 6k total, 3k car 3k mods, u have a 11 second car.. as for a srt4 u couldnt even buy the car for that.

It is not a "factory ricer" and he meant that for a NEW CAR, you know... one with the year built the same as the year it is now, a warrenty and no problems that you'd find in a typical 5.0... it's the absolute best bang for the buck out there.

Yes, yes it is.

Stop arguing with me now.

It is.

he did not say brand new did he? he said best bang for the buck car out now, and how can you judge the problems 5.0s have, 5.0's are one of the strongest engines. im at 126,000 miles and only thing i had to replace was the rad and clutch cable, and just because its new doesnt mean its perfect, things break on new cars too. and yes it IS a factory ricer, i can call it whatever i wanna call it because its MY opinion and you have no right to tell me im wrong because that what it is, an opinion and there is no correct answer if its a ricer or not.

opinions aren't right or wrong. They're just biased points of view from one side or the other. I don't get where this rice crap is even coming from... holy crap it has a cosmetic spoiler on it from the factory. You don't seem to be calling any Mustangs cosmetic spoilers rice, or Supras, or even mine for that matter... I don't care if you think it's ugly, but quit using the freakin term rice.

It's old, it's played out. It's getting to be the most used excuse to hate on a car and still not come anywhere near the topic of the thread.

As far as your posts now, in the case it's an opinion calling a factory four banger, that's coincidently faster than your 5.0, rice... well all I can say is that is just jealousy.

(here comes the denial!)
