Default Which is best.. Turbo or SC

Im lost in a world of confusion!!!! I dunno if I want a turbo kit or SC.... Im leaning towards Turbo..I love the sound of the blow-off valve!....... I also hear that they worked out turbo lag out... and that you get somewhat ofinstant boost.... What do you guys think? Also.. Im the type that will get bored of 400-500 horsepower and will want more........ For those who think a turbo kit is better... Which turbo kit do you suggest and why?... Thank you!

Do your research, listen to sound clips and work with who ever will do the install. Make sure they know what they are doing and plan to spend more than you think.

I got the STS turbo single. I love it. It will do for now until the car is paid off or I save enough to build the motor and put a second turbo on.

You may as well ask "which is better, Chocolate or vanilla?" Each one has it's place and application, Each one has it's ups, and each has it's downs.

As a generalization... Superchargers tend to give a much more linear increase in power, and make more power sooner than a turbo. However, a Turbo is much easier to make huge power levels with. turbo lag is simply a matter of how the turbo is sized for it's application. smaller turbos will spool faster, but will make less on the top end. On the opposite, a larger turbo will spool slower (and be "laggy") but when it hits, you'll swear you got rearended by a mack truck at 90 mph.

Personally, I prefer turbo's, but that may be because I have more experience with them coming from playing with supra's.

This question kind of falls under the same category as...

If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one there to hear it, does it make a noise?

Or, What came first, the chicken or the egg?

I'm planning on a supercharger because I want to install it myself and it is a lot simpler than a turbo. If I was having it installed by a pro and I wanted big big power then I would probably go turbo.
