For the classics not all years came as a GT.  You might have been better with a V6 or V8.

Mine is a 73 Mach 1 (with a homemade BOSS 351), and I am restoring a 67 Cougar XR7 with a 289.

My daily driver is a 7.3L 8 cyl Diesel Powerstroke.
