Default 1995 Mustang GT door keys?

Are the ignition and door keys different on the 95 Mustangs? I just bought one and my ignition key does not open my door locks, but does open the trunk. Was Ford still using different door and ignition keys in this year?

that is what I thought. Any ideas why I can't turn the key in either door, but the power locks still work?

It's possible that at some point the locks were changed in the doors and not the ignition or trunk. You can buy matching stuff new and used. Call Todd at Prestige Mustangs in Atlanta. 866-45-stang.

yes, the car may have been broken into and the locks were picked or something and reguired changing. but the locks should use the same key as the ignition, trunk, and glove box. you may be able to go to a locksmith as well and have him rekey the doors. not sure if its the same process as a house lock, but its worth a shot.

I called and I need to take the door locks out and bring them to the locksmith and they can do it. Should be pretty straight forward to remove the door panel and pull the locks?
