Default 0-60 time

I've had my Steeda CAI and Brenspeed 93 octane tune for several weeks now, but never had tested my 0-60 time using the Xcalibrator 2 and my laptop, so yesterday I hooked it up and drove to a back road and tested it. I have an automatic, BTW. I pulled to a stop and then floorboarded it. I got 5.4 seconds 0-60. Now my question is this. If I were to preload the transmission to about 2K RPM before I took off, how much could I expect it to improve? Unfortunately, bad weather has hit now and it may be a while before I can test it again. Here's the graph from the SCT capture showing RPM and vehicle speed:

Here's a link to the fullsize picture in case you want to see that: http://billhall.net/pix/0-60.jpg

Haven't stock autos done 5.1 second 0-60? Shouldn't I be able to do slightly better than that with the CAI & tune?

yes you need to powerbreak it to 2K rpms and then let go, tcs off ofcourse, not over-inflated tires either.

Forgot to mention that I have the 3.31 rear end that came with the automatic. I guess that could have something to do with it, too?

Keep in mind without the real deal test equiptment it's very hard to get an accurate 0 - 60 time.

I have a spreadsheet that does some fancy math and it's still not 100% accurate...

I only went 4.9 seconds 0 - 60 on my 13.1 pass using the spreadsheet and my timeslip.

Don't get me wrong...Xcalibrator maybe be more accurate the calculations I have (not sure)...just saying getting sub 5.0 seconds isn't exactly easy (even if you have a tune and CAI I don't think it would be)

It was probably a little quicker than that.

Like what the others said, software like that isnt the best way to get your times.
