NO WAY!!!!
I have been up to 180+ on a bike and the center line would be a blur. plus the road he passed on the left would've been a glitch as he passed at 215 mph.

it is in KM/h if you look under the 120 mark, it says 80. Conversion is 128 km/h = 80 mph. I knew it was bull when they took a turn at "100 mph" so, this is in KM/H.

No if you guys look at the second video I sent a link to you can see, that under the 70 mph there is a 110kmh. Both bikes have the MPH on the outer edge. Those are the worlds fastest production bike, but now there even faster they both are turbo charged. I believe it, they are that fast and the white lines are spaced out so far on the high way that its misleading.

fast4door
03-14-2005, 09:59 PM
whatever about the lines. If your car can go 120+, video tape the road and yolu will see how fast lines or a crossroad will go by, let alone at 220+mph.
Not as slow as in that vid!!!
And I did actually watch the 2nd link the first time. I had seen this vid before and called b/s then too.

LOL the lines do look slow. If you been over seas and have been excess of 150 mph it seems alot faster then video. But i would say he was moving purty darn fast no matter. Be hard to imagine hanging onto a bike at 220 plus mph. watch the rpm gauge he was way past the 220 mark. I would guess they are Ks if i had to! Im gonna say he doing 130 mph but then again who really knows.

If you guys havent been on a sport bike then you really dont know the power. I had a 96 CBR 600 F3. Dynoed at 104hp to the wheels. That is the fastest I have ever accelerated. But thats not like a hayabusa stock it makes 175hp, and weights 474lbs. With a 200lbs. rider thats 1 hp for every 3.85lbs. an mustang that weights 3600lbs with driver would theoreticly need 935 hp to compare to one.

Heres a comparision read it.
http://home.cfl.rr.com/redbusa/TheBike/Performance.html

And heres some specs, scroll down it gives you the KPH for every gear but 6th.
http://www.hyp4r.com/hayabusa/specs_performance.htm

And remember those are on a stock hayabuse.....

I just went to the web site where that guy bought his turbos from. The name was painted on his swing arm.... Check it out.
Here are some dyno charts.
http://www.totalkaosperformance.com/velo/turbo/dyno.html

At 20psi, it makes 414hp to the wheels. remember this is on a 474 pound bike! (1 hp to every 1.6 lbs...... A mustang needs 2250hp to compare theoreticly..)

Thats most likey the turbo that guy in the video used.

And oh yeah. Heres the highest HP Turbo Street Hayabusa in the world
http://www.totalkaosperformance.com/stage2busrac.htm
Its only making 580hp!!!!

(1 hp to every 1.16lbs......... and a mustang needs 3103hp to compare theoreticly. at 3600lbs.)

Thats just insane!!

How ironic.... Im watching monster garage right now, they are building a micro car. And using a hayabusa engine to run it and turbo charging it!!!!!
Everyone has to watch this!!

1 mph = 1.609344 kph
240mph X 1.609344 equals 386km+ kmh ,..... holly f#$@, mang. i say 240 because he pulled like 1000+ more rpm after his speed stopped moving.Hahahahahhahahah

yellow4.6
03-15-2005, 11:55 AM
That is just nuts. You can see how fast he is pulling. And remember videos make things look and feel slower than in real life. I have taken vids in my car that don't look like much, but it is very different when your in the seat. In other words, i just can't imagine how fast this thing really is if you drove it.

FiveOhNo
03-15-2005, 02:58 PM
yeah, but look when he's in traffic...keeping up with everyone else...even the big clunky cars are doin 60mph in light to light traffic....???

mustangman02232
03-15-2005, 03:06 PM
I saw the Monster Garage build with the Turbo Hyabusa. They said that "Since the Turbo is so far away from the Motor Its only going to be 285 hp so its equal to driving a 5.0 Mustang". A.) They lost the challange and had to blow it up:(, and B.) It would not even be close to driving a 5.0 mustang preformance wise or hp wise. The 5.0s only have 210-225.

inthe 1st vid he was going with trafiic and it 70mph, this was through a congested intersection. in the 2nd vid he came off that wheelie at 140 and just thudded on the road? no way! also notice how the speedometer just kidna stops as soon as he gets to 220? and where is the whistle in the 2nd vid?

I my opinion people that have not riden a sport bike dont know what fast really is..... Unless you have a car that does lower than 10 seconds. Mustang GTs are slow in my opinion, but they have the potential to become fast. But I would always drive sport cars and sport bikes. You cant say that unless you have owned a sport bike.

I was being sarcastic when I made that comment, but speed is all relative. A 10 sec 1/4 mile is really fast, until you run an 8 sec 1/4. After driving a 4 second car, I will hold my original thought and say that bike guys don't know what real speed is. :D;)

a turbo busa is fast but not that fast.
my zx7's speedo drives of the front wheel (as do all my friends bikes) & so if my front end is off the grounf the speed will not go up. this bike did? I if a busa's speedo does drive off the motor I have to guess the gearing was changed. the way the speedo moved you would flip this bike backwards.
just my guess & have have had sportbikes since the 80's & owned a gsxr1100 with nos this makes no sense.

The turbocharged Hayabusa puts out somewhere between 300-400 HP. Now think of the power to weight ratio...

To the guys out there that are calling this b.s., I have personally owned a 2003 Turbo Hayabusa and might I add, that within mear seconds I was hittin 100. I put the bike on a dyno and was pushin out 256HP and topped out at 215 before I broke the dyno. Dont flame it till you've ridin it.

The Busa as well as all new Suzuki's speedo's are driven off of the output shaft, not the front wheel, and unless you've ridden a Busa, you have no idea how insanely fast they really are.

Aixtreme89

The hayabusa is was built for top speed, It is aerodynamic and cuts through the air more than almost any other car. The hayabusa has the lowest coefficient of drag of any motorcycle in its class. The Hayabusa is the most aerodynamic motorcycle made. And Sure there is wind resistence but these bikes havent hit that wall of resistence yet.

The fastes Hayabusa was clocked at 256 mph on the salt flats

Heres proof scroll down the page....
