If you are going to finance anything...car, mods, etc....just make sure you finance it at a level that you can pay off BEFORE the loan comes to term. I have been financing things all my adult life that technically I could have just put on a card and paid off over 6-8 months. But rather than do that and dip into savings, I choose financing and paid them all off in about half the term. These things include a few different 5-8k used cars, a 3k lawn mower, a 7k hot tub, and now the Saleen which will be paid off in 4 years rather than 6. Do the math and figure out what you need to pay monthly to be paid in full a year or two early. Several loans under your belt that were paid early will do wonders for your credit score...I'm living proof. Ford didn't bat an eye at me when I was ready to buy the Saleen after looking at my credit report, and I am now living comfortably in a house that 10 years ago I would have never imagined myself able to qualify for let alone afford.

is 5% the approved intrest rate? if so thats great considering they are financing with no collateral. 5% of 6000 is only $300. and thats if you take the full term to pay it off. If you can get that rate i would say go for it.

Man, I can't believe I forgot that very good tid-bit of info....paying off before term saves interest - definitely a good point

This is exactly my point! Say you are buying the Saleen Supercharger for 5000, 5% is only $250 more on the total cost of the blower. So you have to decide is paying $250 more worth getting your blower 6-12 months earlier? For some it is, for some it is stupid...that is why I say "to each his own"

I think it is great i spent about 2100 in just 2 days for my car. Now look my father passed away april of this year and everything was under my mothers name even though he paid most it. so now me and my mother are stuck paying the bills, now I said that I spent $2100 in two days right? It took be about 4 months to save that only because of the bills i have to pay. But me and my dad bought the saleen to throw as much hp we could to woop a**'s and still drive it on the street. so for people like me this is a great IDEA! But I do respect everybodys opnion we all have our own minds

Sorry to hear about your father  . But I don't think your mom and you should be stuck paying the bills, did you not receive life insurance?

very complicated the insurance declined us so were taking them to court cause its just so hard to live like this. my father had many back surgerys and finally was getting better one of the dr's fu***D up and gave him a shot of morphine in the morning and istructed hime to takes his pills at night well he overdosed in is sleep cause of that and yeah so we are taking the dr to court as weel to take his medicine license away
