Default My charging system light has been on all day.

My charging system light has been on all day. AT 30,000 i replacedthe battery. The light came on now at 35,000. How is this fixed.

You have 1 of 2 things happening.

1.) Bad Alternator

2.)Short in the wiring that causes a breaker to kick in and out constantly, check your fuses and see if there is a breaker hot. Could also be a relay but not as likely as a short or just bad breaker.

9 times out of 10 you have a alternator that is getting weak and not charging at the required voltage. You could put a multimeter on the battery while the car is running and a good alternator will charge 13.8 - 14.4 volts.
