Hi, I would like a good setup for road course racing, and have been told the best way to go is immediately get the coilover setup.  So with a budget of about $1500 do I have enough money for a good coil over conversion in just the front?  After that is done what should I do to the rear to compliment the changes in the front.  I am thinking of going with one of MM's coil over set ups for the front.  How well will this upgrade the handling of my car? Will i be able to compete  with some of the better handling awd sports cars
(evo's sti's wrxs) with the right horsepower mods?

You can actually get an entire Maximum Motorsports coil-over kit, front and rear, and still be within your budget.

Here is a link to the complete kit http://www.stangsuspension.com/store/comersus_viewitem.asp?idproduct=181

It comes with the Bilstein struts/shocks, Caster/camber plates, front & rear coil-over kit, and springs.

I would go with a 350lb/in front spring rate, and a 225 lb/in rear spring rate...  this will give you nice handling while still being bearable on the street...

that looks good, thank you, but i wasnt planning on going straight to the coilovers for the rear right away so do you think just a panhard bar would be a good start?

A panhard bar would work out fine for the rear. You also have to get lower control arms with a panhard bar... you cannot use your stock control arms.

We carry the Maximum Motorsports rear grip packages http://www.stangsuspension.com/store/comersus_viewitem.asp?idproduct=256 this includes both items together.

They will fit with the panhard bar, but I wouldn't suggest them. Granatelli makes good products (intakes, ignition products, etc.) but I do not think their control arms are the best on the market...

Oh, do you think they are so bad that I should upgrade before I change out my springs?  It looks like I'm getting some H&R sports from another guy on here, and I got the Granatellis off of a local guy for 40 bucks who was selling his car.
