My friend wants to sell his 02 GT.  I'm seriously considering it.  It has 4x,xxx miles. All the options.  He wants 11.5k for it.  Does that sound about right? Its in good condition, I know for sure, seeing as i've been in it.  What do you mustang guys think?

P.S. Street/Strip has killer visibility!

Its not too bad, the miles are pretty good for an 02.  In fact, that is my current asking price (Payoff) for my 02, but I have 72K miles.  Honestly I think 11.5K is slightly too high for my car, I'm gonna have to get it paid down a bit before I sell it me thinks.  But by then, maybe I'll just get a blower

Sounds about right for that  mileage. Its low miles considering its an 02. If its  a 5 speed go for it

i have owned a chevy, ford, and jeep.  (still have the ford and jeep)

they are all good in their own ways, i generally just require them to be of american companies (yes yes, i know they are all made in mexico and canada...)

Were you the guy running boost in your Cavalier? I don't remember, just know I havent seen you around in awhile I don't believe....either way..

11.5K is not too bad, it's more on the higher end of a good deal.

I bought my '99 5 years old, which is like buying an '02 in 2007. It had 48K on the clock when I got it, and I paid 9500.

I'd say if you can get him to 10.5 or hell, even 11K, you're doing alright for the year/mileage.

Not sure about the price....seems steep for an 02, even with the low mileage.  I'd see if you can get it down to the 9-10K range.  If so, should be worth it.......if the car's in good shape like you say.

And regardless of GM or Ford bias........if you care about power in your ride at all.......a New Edge GT is definitely a step up from a Cavalier.

We could always use another Chevy turned Ford guy on here, LOL.  Sounds like a pretty good deal, but if you really want a Stang, you could always look for an older Cobra or Fox Body.

I paid $10,750 for my 02 gt w/ 54,000 miles back in july. It had a few mods and extras: cai, flowmasters, short throw shifter, grill delete, leather, bullit wheels. So I'd say $11.5K+ is a pretty good deal.
