Anyone else have opinions/comments?

I am also wondering what would be an appriopriate size tire to put on 18x9 with a fairly reasonable cost?

Looks pretty sweet!

I would think maybe 255/40/18  would be a good fit
245/45/17 OE size?

wow, 225/60/17 is a real odd size.
at least for a stang.  Seems to becoming more popular on the newer cars and crossovers.

Ya that's kinda what i thought! but they are fairly cheap- around 90 bucks for kumho, fit the 17x9 wheel, and fill the wheel well so i can't really complain all that much..

Anybody know of tires that would fit 18x9, look decent, and are 130 bucks or under?

245/45, 255/45, 275/40, and 285/40 are all fairly close to the OE outside diameter (235/50-18 is ~ 27" OD) and any of those sizes will properly fit on a 9" wide wheel.

As far as cost is concerned, I suggest you spend some time over at www.tirerack.com (and tire mfr sites themselves or places like discounttiredirect.com or vulcantire.com for tire makes/models not carried by the Tire Rack such as Falkens).
