cant get my timing right, i made sure that the 0 degree mark lined up at top dead center, i even took the #1 plug out and made sure it was tdc, set my dizzy down and the rotor pointed directly back towards #1 plug wire. connected everything and started it up, it ran with a shaky, bad miss. i turned the dizzy both directions and it helped a little, but still had a bad miss, do i "HAVE" to unplug the thing on my passenger side fenderwell, and use a timing light to time my car correctly? or is trying to do it by ear pointless?
