i bought this gt coupe, love it to death, 5 speed, really fun to drive, sometimes it doesnt start though, i can let it set for a while, or even sometimes days and it will start like nothing was ever wrong, and it will die randomly every once in a while, so im afraid to take it to work or drive it far. any suggestions? i have the ignition module checked at orielys 7 times, its good, coil is good, but cheapy off brand, new wires plugs cap and rotor, all on tight and correct because when it runs, it runs extreamly well.  its the last year of 5.0 so it should be the same as any 5.0

OK, so when it doesn't start, have you checked to see if you have spark and fuel?

i know u said ur ignition control module was good, but this sounds identical to the problem i was having when mine went bad. If I were you, I would replace it just to make sure.

the problem is or what it could be...even though you had the ICM tested...and was good....what happens is as when it cools the circuit closes back up and all will test good but after a while of driving it heats up and the circuit  has a open and or break and car dies...the ole expansion and contraction theroy!!!   if replacing it doesn't fix it..then it could be the stator/pick up inside the distributor[;)]

the TFI module would be one of the LAST things I would check... distributor is probably no good.
