Good post. I am glad i went with Flows from the get go. It especially sounded badass when i went catless. Mags aren't my cup of tea, but everyone has thier opinions!

Out of the two set ups, I'd have to pick the flows, but marginally so, just too damn raspy up top. From what I've see, however, Mags aren't quite as good, sound wise, on cated systems. My V6 had mags on an O/R x pipe and sounded nothing like that, neither does my 5.0 with a Bassini O/R x pipe and BBK ceramic headers. But to each their own, I probably wouldn't be so hard on Flowmaster if I didn't know first hand the long term effects of water on flows.

v8 exhaust always sounds different....
I've had my flows for 3years now, never had a problem.

That is true, but the overall tone is similar, but as stated, my old sixer did not sound like that. My 5.0 had flowmasters on it when I bought the car, I found them to be not only overly loud and rather obnoxious, but the damn pipes had rusted to hell, and the mufflers weren't in much better shape, granted, they were probably on the car for a long time, but still, that's bull.
It depends on what Flowstoppers and what Maggies you are going to compare. I'll stick to my Spin Techs... which won on the dyno, and that is all that matters to me.
