Default New member, Getting an 03-4 Cobra

Hi guys,
I just joined the community and I am possibly gettingan 03-04 cobra and I just wanted to know anythingI need to know about the car. I was actually going for 07GT but cobra would just give me theperformance I am looking for.
I have never had a FIinany of my previous cars and I do know that the forged motor is capable ofhigh power.
I have looked in to it and its typically mid 20s depending on the miles , I am conducting my reaserch on the car and I ll appreciate any help. Thanks all

Well ask away, we'll try to help answer any questions you have. Don't forget to use the search link at the top, we've gone over a bunch of topics here that could help you if you have questions. If you look at an 03 Cobra, you're looking at $20-25k depending on mileage. 04's I'm not positive but I think they are usually a few thousand more. I see low mileage 04s still hitting $27-28k. Don't get yourself too excited about a car until you know it's a good deal. You can get these cars for cheap if you take your time and find the right deal. I just paid $22k for my 03 with 35k miles and a few thousand in work done to it.

First, welcome to the forum!

The FAQ page on my website will help you a lot. Here is the link to info relative to buying a used '03/'04 Cobra. The rest of the page should give you a lot of good, basic information before you buy the car. Best of luck. Oh, here's the link. http://stangshiftergaskets.com/2003_...m#_Toc35092330

Oh yeah, forgot to link to CobraBob's FAQ. It's pretty much the best there is. I remember reading it thoroughly when I got my car.

Thanks of the input guys, I read the list ,it was pretty comprehensive

I had a few quick questions ,
I do know that these car put about 370-380 to thewheels but what addtional mods can be done under 2k and keep the car reliable.
AJ03SVTthats a good deal for 23k and a very nice looking car ,have you dyno'd it yet

Know a good amount about 2v's, I have a 2001 GT with mild bolt ons. Trying to listen and learn from all your Termi guys. Graduate in may. Sign on bonus is going straight for a Termi, I can barely stand it....

intake, pulley, exhast and tune should put you at just about 1500 or so depending on what you find and should run extremely reliably at about 450rwhp

Thats value right there , for N/A cars I have owned , it would have cost 5-6k for a blower and would probably net 100hp
450 rwhp , you can run with a lot of cars on the street with that power
