Folks, I'm new here, but need to throw this out there: I just got a 1985 GT convertable that hasn't been driven (or even started) for two years. Does anyone know what steps I need to take to get it started besides the obvious: charge battery, change oil, and check air in tires?

Or part 2: aside from AAA is there anyone who breaths life into dead Mustangs?

CFI or carb? Might want to do a rebuild if it's a carb and sat with gas in it. I'd pull a valve cover and crank it with the coil wire off till you get oil pressure.

2 years is pretty long, but not THAT long.... it might just fire right up depending on how well it was stored away in the first place.

Disconnect the coil & crank it a bit to get things loosened up. Listen for any weird noises. Drain the gas & replace with new gas.
