I say go for it man!! It would be great bragging rights and just plain fun to try. As a lot of my friends have said, it's a matter of who can drive the best and not so much about the car and what is done to it. You have a great car ( and pretty too ), and I personally think that you could take him. Good luck!!

Haven't there been some SRT8's that have seen mid 12's on a track? I think it would be close, but I wouldn't be surprised if he edged you out at the end. They might be heavier, but they got an extra ~100whp.

You should win from a dig assuming you don't spin. They are seriously over weight and gear challenged! Check youtube for some videos of srt8's in action on the street and on the track. They are all autos as well and put down anywhere from 350-380rwhp stock.

If Im not mistaken the chargers are around 4400lbs, Ill have to look this up to be sure. If this is the case there hp/wt ratio is somewhere around 1/10.3. Thinking you have somewhere around 355chp your hp/wt ratio will be rite around 1/10.0. It ought to be a dam good race but if you have a 5spd manual you should be able to take him. Rob Correction on the weight of the SRT8 Charger, they are 4200lbs that brings the hp/wt to 1/9.9. It would be a real drivers race now.

There is no way in hell he has 100rwhp more...they have like 415 or 435 to the crank...realistically he has maybe 65-70 more rwhp than me but he weighs a ton

If you get a good launch and shifts you should be able to win easily. I was at Firebird raceway in a couple months ago and it was really hot around 90% at night and there was a total of 5 cars there. One of them was a new Charger SRT-8 and we raced 5 times and I beat him by 5 CL or more every time. This was before I had an O/R h-pipe and Delete plates too. I was running 13.9's @ 101-102 and he was running 14.4-14.8's @ 97-98. The heat really hurt both our times. People see 425hp and think they will get smoked, but they are over 700lbs heavier than our cars and have worse gearing.
