I own a 2000 Mustang Saleen S281SC. I am kind of new to modifying mustangs and I have some questions about parts and tunes. My car is pretty much stock at this point other than an Xpipe, and Im looking at replacing the gears and induction very soon. I have noticed most people go with the accufab 75mm TB and a Lightning 90mm MAF. If I upgrade the TB, MAF, and add a CAI, do I need to have my car tuned? Also would I need to upgrade my fuel system or is that only necessary, if I am adding a smaller SC pulley? The other question I have is once I swap gears I will need the speedometer recalibrated, is this something that can be done with a tuner or do I need to buy sensors or what? All the input is greatly appreciated.
You will not need to upgrade your fuel pump with just TB, MAF and CAI. However, I wouldn't do all that stuff without changing out your supercharger pulley. Once you do that....take care of getting the fuel pump upgrade and tune.
Just my opinion if you've got the dough to take care of it all at once.
+1 on Mills, I did all of it at once this summer and that included the SVT Focus pump upgrade. Although I did not go with bigger injectors at the time. I was told I wouldnt need them. I did do the pulley however. What gears are you looking at? I went 3:73's and love them. Good luck.

Would I need a tune after I upgrade my MAF, TB and CAI? Before I add a pulley I wanted to see how much I would have with the upgraded induction. As of right now I am running 7lbs, and a buddy of mine added a CAI on his Lightning and gained 3lbs of boost. Since the pulley is supposed to add 3lbs of boost that could put between 12-13lbs, and thats risky on a stock block is it not? Also I have an automatic tranny with 75,000 miles on it, so I don't want to add a lot of horsepower until I can affort another tranny.
My brother has 3.55s that he will give me for free, so I'll try those out for now. What do I need to recalibrate my speedometer when I swap gears?
Oh also, when I buy a MAF do I need to make sure they are calibrated for my 30lb injectors? If I happen to get one thats not how do I recalibrate them?
