yeah that is prep work. sanding the nicks and chips out everything to get the car ready to paint, including buying the paint base coat-clear coat and wet sanding and buffing in th eend.

Hi I'm new here and I just got into cars. I was looking at cars and this Mustang just stuck out, the body just looks so cool to me. 1993 'stang. I'm thinking of going withe the LX, lightest trim, to mod out. That is just me though.
The only Mustang I've owned was a '65 289, 4bbl, 4spd. What a blast!! I am now paying for (although officially it's my son's) an '87 5-spd, GT convertible. I really didn't want him to buy this particular car, as it appeared it was rode hard and put away wet. Turns out, it was. Heater core must have been leaking, as it was by-passed. A/C still doesn't work. The pully for the magnetic field has seperated. The top was missing the left lift cylinder (or ram). The fuel guage didn't work. There are also little nits. And worst of all, needs paint and a new top.
My question is, do any of you Mustang experts know how to install the lift cylinder on the pins? I got the cylinder plumbed, and the motor filled and blead. I just don't see how to get the cylinder "attached" to the mounting pins.

I'm new to this forum also. I own two rustangs, one a convertible That one is a 1965. been restored for about ten years. My pride and joy is a 1968 High Country Special. Just finished this past year. The first show that I attented the voltage reg. went haywire, full charge into the battery and you no what happented. Where I got it they didn't do anything about it so I put the old one on. Ready for the show circuit this year.
