THat whole f*cking enterior was carbon fiber lol i guess youll get that after paying hundereds of thousands of dollars lol

Try paying around $645,000 for the Enzo only after being choice from a list to be accepted to buy one. 0-60 in 3.6 seconds....man I can only imagine what it feels like to have that under your foot. The Murcielago is around $280,000. It does 0-60 in 3.8 seconds.

For less than that you can get yourself a top fueler, and feel 0-100 in 1 second

Dang OICW, where did you find this? I have never heard anything about this...

ya, ive never heard of that. it looks pretty damn cool. and i thought the ford gt was something....

Yeah it's a kit car so not many people know about it. Do a google search on " Ultima GTR" and you'll get a ton of pages.

The company is in Britain. They build the tube frame structure and the body, and supply you with a Porsche G50 transaxle with a bunch of engine choices including the 350 hp LS1, and 377 ci Chevy smallblocks from 450 hp or so up to 640 hp, and a 700+ hp one next year.

The 640 hp version broke the world record for 0 - 100 - 0 run @ 10.3 seconds, that's without ABS! The car is not all about drag racing though, it's an all out supercar:

Max acceleration: 1.0 g
Max braking: 1.5 g !!!
Max cornering: 1.1 g

There're also open top Can-Am racers available. This is truely my car of dreams, simply because I know this is something I can afford. The kit is listed at around 40,000 pounds, with the pre-assembled factory racer priced @ 60,000 pounds. MacLaren F1 and Enzo performance for less than 1 / 10th of the cost!

There's one guy who built a Chevy race engine capable of 1300 hp @ full boost. But he can't do it because the Ultima's chassis and transmission can't stand the stress. He's currently running a mild boost, @ about 800 hp. The last run he made (no traction till 100+ mph) was high 9's @ 160+ mph (note, that's faster than the fastest Cobra on stock internals in terms of trap speed!).

Ultima is THE car IMHO!

Nice cars but for that money I am w/ alot of you. You can have better for a whole lot less. Buy a good chassis car (vette, viper, gt40) and put one of these in it.

www.falconerengines.com 600 or 1100 hp versions

Here's a car that'll beat the Enzo in whichever way posible:

0-60 in 2.7 seconds
0-100 in 5.5 seconds
1/4 in 10.4 @ 142+ mph

reaches 204 mph and back to full stop in only 1.8 miles
(note, it took many laps on a 5 mile oval for the Enzo to hit 214)

Best part? about $60,000 if you are willing to get your hands greasy.

BTW: it's the Ultima GTR, with a 377 Chevy pumping out 640 hp and 500+ lb-ft of torque. This is really the dream of all cars, where american muscle meets euro engineering.

Damn right! I saw one of those at the Charlotte Autofest last year. They don't weigh hardly anything either.

I read somewhere recently that they are going to be offereing a different version of the GTR that runs a twin turbo Contour engine and can match those times/speeds. I think it was Autoweek.com but I can't find the article now..

I'd take a Lambo over one of them anyday! I've wanted one since I was 3, & I will have one in the future. They may be expensive, but they are worth only as much as you are willing to pay. It'd be a dream come true to own one...& that is priceless.

What's the price of the Hennsessy again? The Ultima is about $60,000.

And there's a guy with a built engine capable of 1300 hp, but is only running 800 right now, and still traps 160+ in the 1/4 mile. I doubt the 1000 hp, 3200lbs Hennessy can trap that high.
