20 years ago I had a 85 IROC Z......then a auto LX 5.0, then a 5-speed manual LX 5.0......C4 vette....Supra TT.....blah..blah......

Maybe it's time to get back to a muscle car
........
fast foward to present day I autox a vette, can't part with my Elise, and love my STI daily driver....

But can't get the Shelby GT out of my head (the regular Shelby, and not the GT500).........

Good every other day or so daily driver ?
I rented a GT-H in LA back in like March, and didn't like the auto trans, very sensitive gas pedal, and the Hertz check-out freaked me out as they had a paper that they checked like 100 things on it, that I had to sign before they gave me the car----turned it back in and got a Taurus instead, as I was a bit nervous that someone would mess with it.  Also hood scoop seemed very large and obsecured vision somewhat.

So now I can't get this 08 Shelby coupe out of my head.....interior upgrade, HID, Sirius, ambient (does that change color), alarm upgrade, wheel locks..

MSRP----before Shelby add on 33,000, i think.

I offered 39,000 they finally came back with 39,375----
Should I split the difference 39,180.......what kinda deal is this ?

Thanks
David

well if the car lists for 33k without the 9500 option, then, yeah thats a pretty good deal, considering the 08s just came out, when the 07s were out, I saw them go as high as 10k over sticker

Ok I pulled the trigger on this past Monday.  08 Coupe with everthing but Nav----

I am such a idiot that I didn't notice that it had a Shaker 1000, I thought it was a 500----But then I saw the tumor in the trunk---oh well.  On a positive note I heard that the 500 has a amp in each door while the 1000 has 4 amps in the trunk.  (maybe a little better weight distribution).

Car in stunning----looks better, but not as exotic than my Elise.  Car seems to drive better the more you push it.  At parking lot speeds it makes me think of a boat.

My almost 15 year old daughter is thinking this is going to be her car.  I tell her maybe if she learns to drive it, and comes to the autocrosses and races with me.

39,450 or so, but that was with the 36 month 3.9% could have saved $500 if I didn't take the finance rate.

Wife almost kicked my a$$----but I made it through the week alive.

COOL CAR

Well I just bought a Vista Blue one with silver stripes and it is incredible! If you notice my sig, which I will change shortly, my red GT which had some things done to it looked great and always got alof of compliments and looks. I tell you though, I have never seen the head turns and gawking mouths created by this car.

I just bought it last night, and after visiting the house to unload some stuff, went to taco Bell drive through. the whole time, all the cars around us, and even the cars in the line at long John Silvers next to us, were just awesome. The Shelby GT is uncommon, and looks and sounds and runs great.

I love it!
