just looking for cheap ways to make power, my 95 gt has 130k on it, runs great though, smog pump is gone, it has headers, and flowmasters, but thats it other than i just gave it a tune up and k&n, how much and what kind of nitrous would be best for my stock 5.0? i dont really care if i blow it up because its just my toy and i know where i can get a motor cheap, are there any other things i can do that are cheap for more power?

if you dont care about blowing it then go for it. the biggest risk is running it without good enough fuel injectors/pump so you lean out.

That's why you'r best off running a wet kit.....and I'd start with a 75 shot and then try a 100 after that..start low and see how the car esponds and see if it leans out at all...I wouldn't go more than a 125 or 150 cause when you get upwards of 150 to really have to dial the car in make sure it's not to lean ..pull some timing out and possibly a step or two colder on the plugs

Do a 75 wet shot, retard timing 2* and see how it responds. From there it's just jets.

Dime I only push your buttons because i get a reaction out of it, would you keep picking on your brother if he didn't care?? probably not..... but you would if he kept getting mad right????probably so.... so see theres the simple explanation to this situation, so no this is not the end of the discussion.

I would go with the zex dry kit 50-125 in my opinion for a pretty much stock motor it is the best kit!!!!!!! my friend has been spraying a lighting with the 125 Zex dry shot for almost a year now no problems he has used about 20 bottles up so far(Its like crack rock once you hit it once you cant quit)............no problems he runs 15.55 stock 13.95 with ZEX just make sure you put it on right and do what the directions say and you will be fine....

zex is for the stupid ass ricers. ya wanna real nitrous system,go nitrous express wet single nozzle with a shark2 nozzle,or go NOS with there fogger2 nozzle. stay the HELL away from zex and there lackluster "NAAWWZ" systems. add on the safety items from nos/msd/nx...fuel pressure satefy switch, window switch{if your cars a stick},get a bottle heater and for best results get a purge, nothing sucks more then getting a big ole shot of....just fuel. stay conservative on the timing considering you seem to have ZERO experience with nitrous,if you can run 2-3 passes without incident on stock timing, and a 75 shot, start experimenting with both timing, and the shot size IN SMALL INCREMENTS,minor changes in timing make a world of difference when it comes to spraying a car. but,if you dont care about blowing it up...just pill it to a 400 shot, stab the timing at 14*...and have a fire extinguisher needed. some of the people here never cease to amaze me,if you dont care about blowing it up,why even ask if you can run nitrous?...newbs. anywho, thats my 2cents.

There isn't anything wrong with ZEX but it does have it's limits. The best and hardest hitting kits I have had experience with are the NOS plates and NX/Trick Flow plates. They are the plates that go between the upper ans lower intakes. Awesome performance! They are expensive but you get what you pay for. Get a 255 lph fuel pump and a good ignition then spray 150.

really, nothing wrong with zex? do you have any experience with them? probably not. ive installed 3 of there craptacular systems on customer vehicles in the past{based on customer request,i tried to sway to NX or NOS WITH NO LUCK}and out of the 3,all of them had issues, one of them was severe, the control box shorted out internally and opened the nitrous solenoid somehow, and grenaded his motor. stick with NOS/NX/EDELBROCK,the rest is showcar junk. i will however agree with you that the hardest hitting systems are normally the plates, right now on my mustang i have 3 stages of nitrous. one being a nitrous express lightning plate system, and the other 2 stages being NOS cheater dual nozzles

Yes I do have experience with ZEX and never had any problems with it except they are limited to 125 shot. I put a kit on a 94' GT stock engine except for bolt ons and spray 3 years ago and it's still going. He runs high 7s in the 1/8 all day long. If I were to buy one today I wouldn't buy one either, I would NOS or NX myself.
