I know, I know, NO benchracing. Well, I dont have my car. It is across the continent and it isnt running. I work at NAPA and I have the advantage of seeing more than my fair share of ricers. I observe them and their 'modding' secretly. I am not known in the area and am not even associated w/ racing and mustangs. I just moved here recently. I want to keep it that way til I get my car and hopefully will collect enough info to school people here. Hopefully, they will not know what hits them. It is funny since I see the ricer guys talking to our counterpeople and I just hang back and take notes. hahahhahaa BTW, my bro w/ his LS1 will do our bidding til I get my stang here.
One guy has a Del Sol w/ the Type R engine(B18 possibly but, idk). I have to do more research on this. He is putting on a turbo kit w/ 6psi til he forges the internals. Some suspension mods are also going on. What do you think I am up against when I get my stang up here??? How would it do against my bro's LS1??? His LS1 is stock A4 but, will soon be lightly modded w/ exhaust and intake.
Is the B18 the egine from the Integra Type R??? VTEC??? Back me up guys....
Thanks

I don't think 6psi is gonna cut it against your bros Ls1. That's just my opinion. From what I understand, it takes a substanial amount of boost to get those things moving. Now 6psi on an Ls1...that's a different story. I say put some $$$ on the LS1.
I dont believe the Del Sol has a chance against you or your Bro, especially with both of you putting down over 300rwhp. At only 6psi, he might be putting down about 230-240whp, which isnt enough even in a little go-kart that he is driving. What mods do you have for those #'s? I'm guessing PI swap, cams, heads, bolt ons?
B18C5 is the type-R motor in america, japanese motors dont have a number on the end so if its JDM is a B18C.
And 6 psi doesnt mean jackshit, you need to know what kind of turbo it is. If its a 60-1 and he's running 6 psi he will crush 300 whp and would walk all over you and your bro. If its a small turbo like a T25 at only 6 psi he will probably be right round 240-250whp. So if he actually does turbocharge it there is a very real chance you could lose. Most b-series kits come with a T3/T04E turbo which has a .63 A/R compressor side and at 6 psi tuned with that turbo he will be over 300whp probably around 320-330.
well u could always just have some spray just incase .................................i dont think u will need it tho my buddie had a turob integra and i just walked all over it but this car is a bit lighter but it should not matter that much

dude i really hope your kidding my friend has an 2001 integra with a b18c motor which is the same as this kids with a t3/t4 turbo kit with a .63 A/R and at 9 pounds it only put down 250whp and like low 200 td so he hill hav no problem beating a del sol with 6psi i dont care what kind of turbo cause that motor can only spool so big of a turbo now after he bumps up the boost id watch out my friend integra at 18 psi put down 418whp

Theres something wrong with his car, my old integra which was a non-vtec 1.8L B18B with a tiny turbo at 12 PSI made more power than that and my heads and cams were garbage. He either needs a new tune, has a boost look, his turbo is shot, or has low compression in one or more cylinders. His car should be well over 300whp. Hell my buddies old del sol with a T3/T04E made 285whp and thats a B16 at only 6 psi and on a mustang dyno. The B18C5's have much better cams, better flowing heads, more displacement, and higher compression. With a good tune a B18C5 with a T3/T04E at 6 psi will be over 300whp and will be fully spooled around 4000rpms.
Thanks guys for the info. I guess I will have to keep on scoping him out and try to see what he has. It will be awhile until he or anyone really, even associates me w/ my stang. And, after talking to MMR today, I might be aiming for even higher power now.... idk. HINT: engine may be capable of 8000+rpms and seriously built.
