I had the thought of removing them and leave it blank or put on cobras in its place. If I put the cobras on, I would also remove the grill badge. The 65 GT 350 had no cobras, but the 67 did. What do you guys think?
let me know what you do. I also have a shelby gt black, and would love to have an extra set of powered by ford badges, they are so hard to come by and would be nice to have a spare set.
I think you should stay with the "Powered by Ford" also. I think they are the least offensive logos on a mustang. I have owned 2 previously to my SGT and I was glad when I saw what they looked like.

Im putting the Cobra badge on the grill next week after the car comes back from the shop (S/C install). I waited almost a year after the front end conversion to put it on as I did not want to get caught w/ my pants down. Now Ill have the power to back up the looks and the Cobra badge. Hell, with all the money I have put into her I could have bought a GT500.
Definitely I would not put a Cobra badge on my SGT. I do consider it a Cobra, especially more than the 94-04 "Cobra's", but this is what makes the car unique. Think about it.
Cobra badges can be bought at SAI all day. Also I don't want someone walking by with a screwdriver and prying it off.

I think the " powered by ford " emblems are cool. Plus they are what belong on your car and you should be proud of it. Shelby GT's are very nice cars. IMO, putting cobra emblems, on a Shelby GT, is like pretending it's a GT500. It would dishonor your car.

In one word......STUPID. The original GT-350's which this car is commemorating had the "Powerd by Ford" badges just as they are on the 07 Shelby GT's. If you didn't want the Shelby GT looks then why did you buy one?

well, considering the fact that the new GT500 isn't officially called a Cobra, putting snakes on it is just a waste of time & money. Only do it if you are building a clone or tribute GT500. Otherwise it's Fantasy Island time! JMO
FTR, I love the official Powered by Ford badges. I believe they were only distributed by Shelby Automotive through an arrangement with Ford.
