I still don't see where you get your 7000 dollar difference!!! 1.) You don't own either car. 2.) I paid $34,788 plus TTL&D for a Shelby GT 3.) I would have paid 32,555 plus TTL&D for a Bullitt Real world difference is $2233. Make your judgement based on that, not the $7000 you talk about. Those are two real prices from competing dealership while I was really buying a car and not just typing about it on my keyboard. There are no extra gauges on the Shelby! I have no idea what you are talking about there. Why would that hood scoop need to be functional? The car lacks a 4 barrel carb. There's a reason why the hood scoop is non funtional. I will be putting 3:73 gears in my car. That is the one thing I really wish it had. Oh yeah, and the Bullitt has a cooler shift knob, IMO. That's the real difference. If they are really sticking to that markup then like I said, just laugh at them because that is a f*ckin joke. 3. Did you not see the links I provided you! 4. A mutual friend of mine purchased a '07 SGT three weeks ago for 33k before TTL&D. That is $500 under the dealers cost of $36990 and then less the factory discount on all 2007 mustangs(except GT500) of $3500, bring it to $33,000. My other buddy is in the market to purchase one to sit along side his '03 Mach and has decided that he wants an '07 for no more then $32k before TTL&D. He has talked to a dealer in Texas that would do somewhere in the low 31's but he wants white and it is black. Point is Shelby GT's are selling for just a couple grand more then the Bullit. Period.

Now that the initial shortage is over, dealers in my area are starting to sell Bullets at around $500 over invoice, which is around $2000 off MSRP. At current pricing, I think the SGT's and the Bullets are both great cars, at very attractive prices. The GT500's, at MSRP, are too, which is what I paid a few weeks ago. [:)]

The rebates do not apply to the 08 Bullitt. I know, I looked at one before buying my 08 GT two weeks ago. The SGT is nice and a good attention-getter, but I am not into fake scoops. To each their own...

Yes the SGT is a 7 grand package. Like you said, its not worth 7k. Which is why these cars are selling for under cost plus a $3500 rebate, making them a good deal at 33k.

Agreed! At $33,000 or less the Shelby GT is a very good deal! But at even $38,000 not to mention $48,000 the SGT is simply over priced. Now, at that price if I could get one with stripe delete, scoop delete, and add the GT500 seats and factory 3.73/1 gears I would be all over the SGT. Oh, and mine would definitely have the Shelby front brake cooling ducts. Or I guess I can just stick with my new Bullitt... For what you get I think the SGT should be priced about the same or slightly lower than the Bullitt. $1,500 rebate announced on Bullitt... 2008 Bullitts finally get the same rebate and finance specials as regular GT's... $1,500 rebate or 1.9/2.9/3.9/5.9% for 36/48/60/72 months, on approval of credit. This is not an April Fool's Joke - it's the real deal announced by Ford Motor Company today.

hello all. this is my first post and i wanted to share that i bought green bullitt on april 1, 08 and received a 3k rebate from ford. i was out the door for just under 32k, and msrp was $32,720. this took place at alexander ford in franklin, tn. they were really great to deal with. they had a couple of gt500's, but the bullitt is the look i was after. not bad perfomance either.

I recently went to a dealership to check out an 08 GT/CS....inside, they had 2 - 08 Shelby GT's and 1- 08 Black Bullitt. Price on the Bullitt aprox 33,000 and the 2 Shelby's 45,000. Talked with the manager and he is saying that he is willing to let either go for the sticker price which would be aprox 31,500 + T/T for the Bullitt and aprox 41,000 + T/T for the Shelby. From the small number of post I've seen, it appears that the Bullitt is the better performance bargain of the two but the Shelby is better looking and should hold value better in the time. To me, the Bullitt is just so plain looking...it's great that it performs well, but I also want something I an proud to look at as well. I had pretty much given up the idea of getting a Shelby due to rediculous dealer price increases on the GT500 and the SGT...but if they are willing to sell at sticker, might be worth it . Does anyone know if the 60 month @ 3.9% interest rate applies to the Bullitt and SGT? The manager said there were no incentives on either car. Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

Went with a black one, since I feel it will hold higher resale value, due to the popularity of black Mustangs. They had to search around for a shifter, because someone had stolen it out of the car! I really liked the burst of power, which mostly comes from going to a manual tranny, and the sound is amazing! I wish they'd let me test drive a Shelby GT to compare but those are still off limits. With a trade-in I could get them down below MSRP, but most of those "great deals" you see here are fantasy (especially the ones on the Shelby GT), and I won't believe any more OTD claims until I see the actual Bill of Sale!

This topic is like comparing apples to oranges. I paid rougly over 41 K out the doorcfor my shelby and im totally happy i did. The main purpose was to fill my long time dream of owning a real shelby GT mustang. If you are going to argue paying 10 K + more for a shelby over a GT is lame it dont hold water. I will argue that if you compare the price of a 67 cobra and the price of a 67 MUSTANG IN 67 the shelby COBRA blows away a mustang in over all value. Ive heard some 67 cobras have been getting over 1 million $$. Shelby in time has never lost value ever. ANd you can bet that the 07 shelby wil be worth much more then any GT and keep its value as time passes. I bought my 2007 about 1 year ago and i have yet to see another shelby like mine on the road. My car is allready rare ..ANd last point a shelby is a different car then a Mustang GT . A shelby IS A Shelby a mustang is just that a mustang A DIME A DOZEN. You dont buy a shelby to get around everyday you buy it as a collection item totally different then a normal purchase of any average car.
