A guy im working with is looking at ordering the Shelby GT, which I guess is a loaded GT with a tune, intake, and exhaust, plus some styling doo-dads. Its a pretty nice looking car. Anyway, how much can he expect to throw down for a 2008? Also, how much power/torque are they putting down, and are there any 0-60 and 1320 times for them? Thanks for any input.

I purchased a 07 SGT and while doing this I considered the 08 which they had sitting beside it. I purchased mine for $37k and asked them what they would do on the 08. They told me $42k firm...no dealing on that price. I live in the Dallas Texas area

As far as I know there are absolutely no differences in the HP/torque between the two years. I have read several places that they are rated at 320hp with 330 ft/lbs torque...hope this helps

I was in the same position and the 2007 was a few grand cheaper than the 2008, but i wanted the blue with the HID. The hp is 319 and torque is 330. It is slighty, as in a tenth of a second or two, faster than a Mustang GT, stock for stock.

It also has the Ford handling pack, which me owning a 2006 Mustang GT for almost two years and now driving this Shelby,I can tell you it makes a big difference in how it handles, drives so much smoother.

Yes, I know you can add that and other things on a Mustang GT chaeprr, but the Shelby is so smooth and looks great, and is a Shelby. I did alot of things to my '06 GT, and it was great and probably faster than my Shelby, but it wasn't a Shelby. :)

I was under the impression that you can't order a Shelby GT but just choose from the dealers' allotments.
The GT's that Shelby modifies can vary on the amount of options. I've seen some with cloth seats and CD players and others with Automatics, leather seats and Navigation.

It has 319 Hp vs the stock GT's 300.

I have seen a total of 4 SGT's on the lot and all have had the same package only differing in the transmission and color. However, I have read several entries in the forums where some are ordering a super charger in which the door stripe is changed to Shelby GT/SC. These are the only variants I am aware of.

Order from the get go from ford with premium options, then when it gets to Shelby in LV, Just give them your Credit Card number and let it roll...........

There are a bunch of upgrades you can pick and chose from, Its only money!
