Hand the parts to the mechanic and say, "make it happen". Try to find a mechanic who has had experience with blowers. The trickiest part about the whole process is tuning it. It is also the most important part of the process.

Previously you said that the amount of boost being run was needing to be limited due to full output for the Whipple being around 475hp. Does the tune take care of the limiting (i.e., 430-450)?
The size of the pulley on the blower takes care of the limiting. When you order the kit, tell them you would like to run 8 psi and make around 430-440 rwhp. They will send the appropriate blower pulley with the kit.

Thanks.
I have JBAracing here in San Diego that I will be visiting sometime in the next week or so in order that I feel comfortable with them. Now that I know what I want, I need to develop that relationship with a place that will take care of me for years to come.
The fun thing with that setup is that you may not be able to beat a new vette in a fair race, But you will sure make him spill his coffee as he says “OH $HIT” I’m going to have to work for this one! And you will probably get a few good kills on the arrogant ones! (those are the best IMHO)

If you are making 440 rwhp, you'll walk on c6's like they are standing still.

Check out Total Performance in Santee, JBA farms out most of their stuff to them so maybe you can cut out the middle man.
I'm impressed with the new 3v motor. After watching 2 new 05 gt's run 11's on 8 psi with few other mods, I believe the new 3v motor is more efficient than last year's 4v cobra motor. Because the new 05 Saleen S281E will be the only production 3v mustang with a built motor, I can't wait to see what the 3v will do with a lot of boost. Ought to be interesting.
Other than for sound, would I put the cat-back systems and x-pipe on the GT or would this cause additional stress on connecting rods and such?
I want to know where to spend my money when it comes time. Should I go with a SC without the other mods or add things like the exhaust system to add HP to the wheels that might or might not strain the engine?
Thanks for your help.
If you do a catback with X pipe, it will actually relieve a little stress on your motor, because it wont have to work as hard to make power under boost. When you increase the flow of your exhaust system, your car will actually make more hp with less boost. I say do the Whipple and exhaust, and that's it. With, say, 430 rwhp you ought to be mighty happy. You won't need to upgrade any motor internals running 430 rwhp. The only reason you would upgrade some of your internals would be because you want to run more than 450 rwhp. Any other Q's?
Great info. The question that I still don't think I have recieved much feedback on, is the rest of the drivetrain. If I SC in the 450rwhp range, keep the stock 05 internals, what about clutch ?? Transmission (mines the 5spd. stick) ?? rearend. ??
My 05 GT is the first sporty V8 car I have had in many years, and it really has me interested in a 400+ hp, manual tranny car. My catch, is that brand loyalty isn't so big with me. So if I have to spend another $20K to make the 05 GT be there, I should be considering other $47K cars. New Vette, 04 Z06, Saleen <- thats a good one.

The rest of the drivetrain will be ok. You won't have to 'update' anything else. The clutch might wear a little faster with the added hp, but it will be fine.

SOLD!!!! where do I pick on up at? Which one is better Birdieman4, the vortech/paxton . I think most places have it for the same cost. I had some punk in a beat up honda rev his POS with dents all over and a 5 inch tip at the gas station. I want to be able to beat him with my e-break on!!

Whipple is too much. I would rather save the 1.5k+ when buying a vortech/pax get the 120hp+ then later if I wan to go hog wild add in the intercoor option later. I can get the same effect of a whipple by losing 30 lbs
If I was putting a blolwer on an 05 gt, I would do a twin screw. I bet the new 05 kits from Paxton, Vortec, and Procharger won't be cheap. The twin screw blower from Saleen will be the shizzle, because of it's twin heat exchanger system. It almost certainly will cost more than the Whipple or the Kenne Bell, but it will be more efficient. If I had to pick a centrifugal blower, I'd probably go Procharger, because of the intercooler. If I was going to run 8+ lbs of boost with a centrifugal blower in an 05, I'd get an intercooler, regardless. The new Paxton with an aftermarket intercooler would be an excellent combo. -But I would go twin screw without a doubt.

humm.. thanks for the info.. maybe I just need to make more money I just hate the idea of 5+K for an SC and then you have to add in the install and tune.. thats $$$$..
